Best service I’ve ever had at a hotel. Most personal touches.

Amazing service and quality of all amenities.

Place is situated in a prime location. Really loved the lobby area and service quality of the staff. Always like to spend a few nights on a trip to Tokyo.

Checked in today, went to the room and the entrance walls were dirty, the armchair was dirty and the sofa had someone else’s hair on it.

The hotel staff quickly moved us to another room, which was better but still had dirty walls in the entrance. The manager told me that this level of room needed regular maintenance.

Asked the hotel to make us a reservation at a restaurant that they recommended. The lady told us she spoke to the restaurant who said they could accommodate us, however when we got to the restaurant there was no booking. What an embarrassing position to be in.

Came back to the hotel to get into bed and the sheets had stains.

What a disappointing start to the end of our holiday - not exactly the 5 star experience we were expecting!

The only positive so far is the view from the window.

Our recent return to the Edition Toranomon reinforced just why this has become our 'go to' Tokyo Hotel. Travellers are spoilt for choice when it comes to 5 star hotels in Tokyo and we have tried several of recognisable brands, but a few things set the Edition apart. Its location is ideal. Just on the outskirts of the hectic Ginza area but connected by the ever efficient metro which stops directly beneath the hotel, you can get to most places of interest within 10-15 minutes. The advantage is that the Edition boasts larger rooms/suits than Ginza properties and you have the peace and quiet of an upmarket suburb. If you can, book a corner suite. The space and design is well worth the extra investment. The Edition is a 5 minute walk to the new Azubadai shopping mall that also hosts the amazing 'Teamlabs' installation. The Toranomon Edition has an excellent indoor heated pool and gym if you find that you havent walked enough exploring Tokyo! The food offerings at the Edition have also improved over the years with the breakfast being a highlight. To truly appreciate the Edition it helps to 'look beyond' the obvious things such as the large rooms, the simple to use technology, the epic views (including Tokyo tower) and even the choice of 2 brilliant cocktail bars. Instead, consider what it takes to turn a great building into a 'great hotel'. The intentional use of a calming / chilled music track that begins in the morning and alters as the day progresses. The thoughtful lighting that is never harsh and also changes with the mood of the day. The fabulous use of plants in the reception / bar area that immediately provides privacy and at the same time conveys a feeling of nature and space. The longer you stay at the Edition the more you will notice small design details that all contribute to a feeling of peace and 'zen'. You will also appreciate the very professional and super efficient concierge team who are on hand to help with...everything. You can also be confident that Alain will make sure all aspects of your time spent in the 'blue room' restaurant are of the highest standard. Overseeing the smooth running of all aspects of your stay (especially if you are a Bonvoy member) is Diego. He remains one the industries true professionals and when you get the chance to talk with him you understand why. Diego has actually spent a great deal of time travelling the world as a paying guest of hotels. He understands what it takes to elevate a hotel experience. He understands what it takes to make a great building...a great hotel. That's probably why we keep returning to the Edition Toranomon. The people who work there have found a rhythm and teamwork that is hard to replicate.

Our King “Loft Terrace” suite was wonderful. It was spacious and beautifully designed with the cool and modern aesthetic that the EDITION brand is known for around the world. We loved and utilized the large comfortable terrace overlooking the Tokyo skyline everyday and every night. The view from the entire suite was EPIC, especially at night.

Our bed was dreamy (albeit a bit on the firm side) with top notch crisp linens and fabulous pillows. The bathroom was an ample and serine space with a spa like wet-room, shower and a deep soaking tub. It was nice that you could close the partitions between the bathroom and the living space for privacy. Bath linens and amenities were high quality. I am sensitive to scented bath products and replacement products were provided post haste. Also needed a flat iron which appeared within minutes of my request. Water pressure, WiFi and room temp were spot-on. The lighting throughout the suite was thoughtful and sexy (once we figured it all out; lol). The black-out drapery fell a teensy bit short of “Rock Star” grade. I would give it an A- for those who love/need an absolute darkened space for sleep.

Service throughout our week long stay was superb. Every single team member we encountered were welcoming, joyful and incredibly helpful. Check-in process was a breeze. Housekeeping was discrete and also superb. We did not have a breakfast package included in our rate, however I’m sure that is an option. The standard American style offering was excellent at ~$22usd. The buffet looked lovely and plentiful as well. Evening craft cocktails were enjoyed in a beautiful space overlooking the Tokyo Tower which was extra special at night. We enjoyed dinner in the Blue Room one evening and it was wonderful.

The location is excellent (imho). It’s ~5 min from the heart of Tokyo with a Metro line directly beneath the hotel. We often utilized taxi’s which were always readily available. There are markets nearby for snacks and adult beverages and the EDITION is walking distance to the new Azabudai complex with a plethora of shops, dinning options and beautiful gardens; just lovely.

We loved our time at the Tokyo EDITION Toronomon and we are so happy we chose this beautiful nest high above the city for our time in Tokyo. It was perfection!

The service, cleanliness, and friendliness were all outstanding! We had a wonderful time. We would especially like to thank the hotel manager (Chiko Kitaoka). Her personal and warm approach made us feel completely at home.

Nous venions d'enchaîner les hôtels d'exception au Japon pendant 20 jours, la barre était donc haute quand nous sommes arrivés au Tokyo Edition Toranomon ! Et pourtant, rien à redire : nous avons même été agréablement surpris par la grande fluidité, la qualité et la précision du service à tous les niveaux (réception, conciergerie, restauration), qui a contribué à notre apaisement et bien être sur place.

Au-delà de la beauté des lieux et des chambres (minimalistes, mais bien équipées), nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'énergie des lieux, bien animés, et l'ambiance décontractée / chic.
