Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida

Stayed at Hotel ELEO for a medical consultation at Shands and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. Check‑in was smooth and efficient, and the hotel’s modern, striking appearance made a great first impression. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and genuinely impressive.

A huge plus: the complimentary shuttle to and from Shands and complimentary valet for Shands patients — an unexpected and very appreciated convenience.

Will definitely stay at Hotel ELEO on my next visit.

The property was minutes away from the dorms and very clean. The staff were nice. Valet was excellent. The room was amazing!!!! I will definitely be staying again.

My trip was to visit my gravely ill brother in UF Shands hospital. I had no idea Hotel Eleo offered such an amazing rate for patients and their families! It's so close to the hotel and very peaceful after a hectic and traumatic day at the hospital day after day. Everyone was so accommodating! I couldn't have asked for more!

I would not stay anywhere else. 24 hrs. Shuttle across the street to UF Health Shands hospital, and within walking distance to the Cancer Center.
The rooms are gorgeous, I'm in 521 Lakeview, it's quiet. Spacious and the online pictures don't do it justice. Everything is beautiful!!
My son is in the hospital, I've been staying here at the hotel for 8 days. Talking the shuttle everyday to the hospital and back. Matt and all the valets are wonderful and so caring. My son was maybe going to be discharged today, Camilla and Amber,at the front desk and all the girls. We're so accommodating, if he was discharged or not I'd still have my room. They didn't give it to someone else. I know, no other hotel would be that accommodating. Plus the hospital owns this hotel ( I believe).
There is a SteakNShake within walking distance. But after having eaten at the hotels restaurant, why eat somewhere else? This is gourmet prepared. The "Onion Crusted Salmon" i think is the best dinner I've EVER had. It was so good I had it a 2nd time the next night. And now tonight is my last night (maybe), I'm going to have the Salmon again. If I ever have to come to Shands again for a family member, I would not stay anywhere else. It's so convenient, the rooms and hotel is immaculate plus the food is wonderful and most of all they are so accommodating.

Great hotel with a wonderful staff! Clean and modern in a great location. Espresso machines in the rooms are a definite plus!

Staff is amazing-love this hotel! Every single person goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Will stay here every time I come to Gainesville!

Beautiful hotel! Very close to UF Health Shands Hospital
I had an early arrival for surgery the next day. We had a City View room, the View was not the greatest but We weren't there for the View. The staff is amazing! Hotel is very clean and the rooms are very large!

Great location! Immaculate rooms & facilities!!! Helpful staff. Our pup had a great outdoor space to walk. Breakfast in Covey Kitchen was very good & server made sure everything was great.

We were there because my husband had surgery early on Friday morning. I cannot say enough positive about the guys at valet parking. They were timely, helpful, and concerned about our welfare. I would return just for them.

Everyone was very friendly.

Stay away until management resolves the bad smell in the hallways. Very unpleasant odor. Ceiling sheetrock cracking in the rooms and restaurant.

This hotel was an unexpected gem in the heart of a university town. The service was exceptional, the staff were incredibly friendly, and everything was spotless. Our room overlooked the lake, and the floor‑to‑ceiling windows made the view absolutely perfect.

I was in town for an appointment at the Neurosurgery Center, which was an easy walk from the hotel, though we also appreciated the convenience of valet service. We enjoyed dinner and cocktails at The Covey, and breakfast the next morning—both were delicious.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional place to stay.
