If you like paying for someone else’s room charges, stay here.
Pros:

Very good location even if overpriced

Cons:

After we checked out, someone else’s breakfast bill for the final morning was added to our room charges and billed to our credit card. With some difficulty, I reached the front desk by phone to point this out and request removal of the charge. They said they would look into it. But I never heard anything more from them, and with some annoyance just paid the extra $80 myself for a hotel breakfast we didn’t have. Over a month has passed since we stayed there and it wasn’t worth the hassle to get our $80 back.
The whole experience reinforces why I try to avoid chain hotels when traveling.

Great hotel for business travelers
Pros:

Stayed here for two nights for a business trip and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Isis at the front desk and Ricky at the restaurant. Convenient location and my room was clean and quiet. The shower was very nice, and the bath products were great. I'll be back!

I would stay in the hotel again. It’s so central and so many shops , bars and coffee shops almost on their doorstep.
Pros:

Staff. Excellent communication. Breakfast staff very attentive and all done with a smile 😀

Cons:

I do not like the way the beds were made. The duvet is not inside a duvet cover. The sheets are not fitted.

Not a big deal, as everything else was lovely.

Lovely Service, Beautiful Hotel
Pros:

I stayed at the Canopy in Jersey City yesterday, and although my stay was short, the experience made it all the better. I especially wanted to recognize Nisha for making my visit so memorable. She assisted me during both check-in and check-out and was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond expectations.

What truly makes a beautiful hotel stand above the rest is an exceptional team, and the Canopy wears that proudly. Every interaction felt warm and professional. The restaurant staff and Studio Menu were incredible as well and added even more to the overall experience.

Thank you again, Nisha, for your kindness, hospitality, and professionalism. You truly made my stay special.

Very comfortable stay but expensive
Pros:

Good size room with seperate dressing area and large walk in shower,. Comfortable large bed and excellent, quiet air conditioning. Large open foyer with comfortable seating area. Very good location.

Cons:

Facilities are limited and lay out of bar and breakfast area a little odd - the bar is shoe horned into a corner and there is limited furniture in the lounge.

Very expensive for this standard of hotel and very disappointed to have additional taxes added when the booking said the price included taxes

Pros:

Location was perfect. Path station was very close and it was very easy to go to Manhattan. There was a car parking nearby. The room was large and new. Overall it is a very good hotel.

Cons:

The room could be cleaner, it needed a deep cleaning, especially the carpet under the bed was very dusty. And the towels were very old they were ripping apart.
