The price
Property was in a good location. Six minutes to Spooky Nook which was definitely a plus. Lot of restaurants nearby with great variety. It was newer so that was definitely a plus.
When we arrived to our room, we noticed the bathroom curtain was dirty. Also, there was food left in the refrigerator. When we addressed the shower curtain with the front desk, she said she would change it. We came back from our game, it had not been changed. Went to the front desk, and they gave me a brand new curtain.
The hotel is tidy and peaceful.
The staff didn't bother to check the customer's hotel payment, which was booked through Booking.com. The reception claimed the card was declined, despite having proof of payment, and refused to accept it. It's not entirely the hotel's fault, but they should at least try to resolve the issue between Booking.com and the hotel.
Hotel was very quiet and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was amazing!
Very disappointing experience.
We booked a King Room with a sofa bed for three adults, but when we arrived, we discovered that the “sofa bed” was actually just a chaise/couch and could not be used as a bed. The front desk staff told us they couldn’t help and that we had to contact Booking.com ourselves.
After contacting Booking.com, we were initially told that the hotel would not approve the room change request because the supervisor was not available until the following morning. After a lengthy discussion, we were eventually moved to another room.
The next morning, we spoke with the supervisor, who confirmed that we had been given the wrong room and that it did not have a sofa bed—it had a chaise. This made the situation even more frustrating, as we felt we had not been given accurate information the previous evening. The entire experience was unnecessarily stressful and disruptive, and customer service was very disappointing.
I would not recommend this property based on how this issue was handled.
Proximity to Spookynook Sports
Soft pillows, room had a slight odor upon arrival
The location, cleanliness
Wish they had conjoined rooms and or family suites
Cleanliness of hotel its 6 years old but looks brand new.
Upset I missed breakfast heard it was fantastic.
Too expensive. I don't honk when I booked this hotel the price was that high. They raised the price.
Too expensive
We chose this hotel based on their overall online rating and the fact there aren’t many options right in Mt Joy. I wish I had read some of the reviews since other guests reported some of the same problems we found over the last few years. While the hotel appears to be immaculate at first glance it’s the details that tell a different story. We stayed in room 411. The shower had black mold in the corner and yellow grunge on the wall underneath the bottom shower shelf along with the outside bottom edge of the door. Additionally, the bathroom exhaust fan had a good amount of dust on it. The sink counter looked like someone sat on it since the sides were pulled away from the countertop. Not a good look. The room also smelled of heavy disinfectants.
We were going to use the pool but found it very cloudy and stuff floating around in it and on the bottom. The inside hallway going to it had a mouse bait trap on the floor near an exterior door.
Sign on the main front door indicated they don’t rent to customers within 25 miles of the hotel due to past problems but did not elaborate what those problems were leaving them to your imagination. Not very welcoming. Booths in breakfast area had seat covers on them that kept sliding off.
On the plus side check in and check out went quickly and the grounds outside were perfectly manicured and looked great. However, based on the other conditions found we will try one of the many hotels in Lancaster next time.
Everyone was extremely friendly. We went for my sons graduation. The hotel recommended a place to eat
