It was peace and quiet tidy and comfotable
nothing apart from other people banging there doors
We had stayed in a Britannia Hotel in Edinburgh, so finding this at a decent price downtown on the end of our trip was fantastic
The restaurant/bar was not opened the weekend we were there
It was really dirty, and not at all well kept
I didn’t feel safe as a solo female traveller
Dirty, dated and smelled really bad (cigarettes)
Location suited my needs
Location
Location was perfect for The Garage or King's Theatre. Plenty pubs and restaurants around it and parking close by too.
People sleeping rough in tents outside.
Room was noisy, walls were marked throughout and the bathroom was dirty.
Wall lights didn't work and tv didn't work other than 5 basic channels.
The locations proximity to the city centre may be the only decent thing about it.
The rooms were filthy, staff were rude, the hotel was being used as a migrant hotel which was not disclosed to us and we got dirty looks from several of the migrants.
It truly was awful. I felt uncomfortable been in the hotel alone. Someone should have mentioned it housed asylum seekers at this hotel and suggested an alternative. Especially as I was on my own. It was intimidating and uncomfortable for me to stay and move around the hotel. So dissatisfied with both booking.com and brittania hotels for letting me stay knowing that my booking was for one person someone should have contacted me to make me aware of the situation within the hotel and immediate vicinity. That way I could have made an informed decision as to whether to continue with my booking.
Location, Scottish Breakfast
I had a non smoking room that smelled of cigarette smoke
Dicht bij de locatie waar ik moest zijn. Aardig personeel.
Status van het gebouw. Status van kamer. Kwaliteit-prijs niet in verhouding. Veel niet-europese gasten, jonge leeftijd.
Breakfast was OK
A lot
