Stayed for two nights in a club room.
This is truly a top class hotel. The staff are super friendly and attentive. From the moment of arrival to our departure they could not do enough.
The club lounge is excellent and the staff there do their hotel proud.
Food was great and a very decent breakfast spread in the main restaurant.
The infinity pool and area is impressive and worth a couple of hours.
Sky51 the cocktail bar is right at the top with fantastic views of the towers and skyline. Although not cheap, prices are not outrageous.
The club room on the 49th floor was excellent. The highlight of course the fact that it has stunning views of the Petronas Towers. Bulgari toiletries are a nice touch. There is a great shower and a bath tub to enjoy.
Importantly the room has an electronic window blind that helps with sleep.
Overall I would most definitely stay at the EQ again if I am lucky enough to return to Kuala Lumper.
Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer (3906). Der Blick über zwei Seiten auf die Twin Tower und den Fernsehturm war grandios! Beim duschen über die Stadt blicken.. fantastisch!
Der große Aussenpool ist im 29. Stock und bietet ebenfalls einen super Ausblick.
Die Skybar im 51. Stock ist spektakulär! Allerdings auch recht teuer..
Das Kongress Zentrum ist über (tw klimatisierte) Fußgänger Überführungen innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu erreichen 👍
Die Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer bot echt leckeren Kaffee und wir wurden vom zimmerpersonal reichlich mit Wasser versorgt 🤗

EQ is an excellent place to stay. It is close to all dining and shops. Staffs are courteous and friendly, housekeeping keeps the rooms neat and tidy and snacks and room mini bar got replenished every single day. Concierge service also excellent- Naim was very helpful and friendly as well.

Sehr gutes 5* Hotel im Herzen von Kuala Lumpur, welches auch wirklich die 5* verdient hat. Das Hotel bietet allen erdenklichen Komfort. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr professionell und freundlich, angefangen von einem Willkommensdrink und wohlriechenden Handtüchern zum Frischmachen, bis hin zur Beanwortung Anfragen.
Sehr positiv herausgestochen ist die Mitarbeiterin/Managerin Fatin, die sich um ein Anliegen von uns umgehend gekümmert hat und zudem extrem freundlich war. Bei so tollen Mitarbeitern kann man das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist das Beste, was wir in ganz Malaysia jemals erhalten haben. Sehr reichhaltig und schmackhaft, für jeden internationen Gaumen etwas dabei! Die Betten sind unglaublich bequem, die gesamte Zimmereinrichtung ist durchdacht und wirklich gut. Abends hab es Kopfkissenspray zum Schlafen, sehr fein!
Die Restaurants sowie Bars sind sehr gut, die Aussicht aus der Sky-Bar im 51. Stock ein echtes Highlight.
Wenn man eine Kleinigkeit verbessern könnte wäre dies der Kaffee am Frühstücksbuffet.

Always enjoy coming back to stay at EQ. Fatin, Aliff, Joel and team always have a warm smile and ready to assist, making each trip enjoyable. The rooms are comf and spacious with nice views of the city and/or twin towers. The housekeeping team do a great job to ensure the daily upkeep of the corridors and room. Super easy to walk to Pavilion/Suria KLCC or catch a grab. A plus is also the great breakfast assortment available to start the day.
Stayed at EQ Kuala Lumpur recently and came away with mixed feelings.
There is a lot to like about the hotel. The property itself is modern, stylish and very well maintained, and the staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, professional and welcoming. Service was undoubtedly one of the strongest aspects of the stay and the team deserve recognition for their efforts.
The facilities are impressive, particularly the pool area and wellness facilities. However, during our visit the experience was not quite what we expected from a hotel positioned as one of Kuala Lumpur’s leading luxury properties.
One disappointment was the lack of an evening turndown service. While this may not matter to every guest, it is something many travellers associate with luxury hotels. Returning to the room in the evening often meant used towels had not been replaced and bottled water had not been replenished, which made the overall experience feel less polished than expected.
The pool and thermal spa area was another area where the experience fell short. There are clearly displayed age restrictions for parts of the wellness facilities, yet these did not appear to be consistently enforced during our stay. On several occasions there were young children using areas reserved for older guests, while others were running around the pool, jumping into the water and playing between loungers. Families are of course welcome, but guests seeking a quieter and more relaxing environment may find the atmosphere different from what they expect.
Unfortunately, there was also a false fire alarm at around 1am on one night, which continued for approximately 20 minutes and disrupted our sleep. While safety must always come first and these situations can happen at any hotel, it nevertheless affected our overall impression of the stay.
What ultimately disappointed me most was the lack of any acknowledgement after raising these concerns directly with management. Luxury hospitality is not only about the facilities themselves but also how feedback is handled when guests feel standards have fallen short. The absence of any response left a poor final impression and undermined what could otherwise have been a much more positive view of the hotel.
EQ undoubtedly has many strengths, particularly its excellent staff, attractive facilities and prime location. However, based on our experience, some aspects of the guest experience did not quite meet the standards we would normally expect from a hotel in this category. A good stay overall, but not quite the luxury experience we had anticipated.

It was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everyone we encountered—from the doormen, valet and entrance team who welcomed us upon arrival, to the reception staff, restaurant team, housekeeping staff, and everyone who greeted and assisted us throughout the property—was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful.
Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and whenever we needed assistance, help was always available immediately. We genuinely felt welcomed and well looked after throughout our stay.
Thank you very much for everything. We are leaving with wonderful memories and feeling truly happy and satisfied with our experience.
