The staff were very good. The bar and terrace were comfortable. The hotel has a charming quirkiness.
Godt beliggende hotel med venligt, kompetent personale. Hotellet er smukt indrettet. Dejlig stemning.
En morgenmadsmulighed med toast, ost og grøntsag, f.eks. tomat.
Amazing hotel, beautiful restoration of the building. Brilliant room and unbelievable bathroom.
Staff couldn't do enough for you. Can't wait to return.
Delicious breakfast and superb menu. The manager was ever present and highly attentive. I was impressed by the staff training and the general care shown to guests.
Better pillows.
Staff were very efficient and friendly
A very welcoming hotel in a great, central location. All staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast crew. The breakfast was generous, varied and of a high standard. Our room, number 6, was lovely and cool due to the efficiency of the air-con. It was spacious with a large walk-in shower. The bed was large and comfortable. The bed linen was clean and soft. I slept so well after a long day in Norwich. This was a return visit, and one of many!
The difficulties in finding the car park, despite being warned by the hotel, we were prepared, but failed miserably. A map location pin/link would be greatly appreciated! And where the lift drops you off for reception is not well signposted. These 2 negatives were a very minor blip, and mentioned only for hotel feedback purposes.
All of it
I specifically requested a room with air-conditioning when I arrived this was not the case. I asked to be moved rooms but they were fully booked. I also asked for an extra fan. No one came back to me. I had to leave the property at 3 am because I felt extremely ill. I’ve requested a refund but no one is communicating with me.
The location was great and the female staff were excellent. The third night in an air conditioned room was so much better. Breakfast was good.
Room 18 was totally unfit for purpose. It reached 44 degrees on the first night and 38 degrees C on the second night. A small fan was provided, but the windows could not be opened due to the room opening directly onto the street. If the room is available during such hot days, a portable air conditioner is essential. Much poorer countries have far superior cooling provisions.
If we hadn’t already paid we would have left within the first hour. The check in staff knew this was an issue, but ignored it. They were more concerned about how hot and difficult their day had been. The staff member who organised a room change and one other staff member confirmed that they would have hated that room too. Apart from the size of the room, a backpacker’s place would have been just as good for less than a quarter of the cost. Coming from Australia we are used to the heat, but not a four star hotel room that woefully hot. The curtains didn’t even close fully to block the sun out.
De ligging en inrichting van het hotel
I loved the staff that i did meet as they are very friendly to me and my partner
I can't say there was much i didnt like apart from the food prices but its understandable its a fancy hotel so i'm not gonna complain really.
It was a perfect location for everything we needed to see
When we first arrived in Norwich, we struggled to find the property. Nothing to do with the property at all just the road management.
