Staff were friendly and helpful. Air Con was good. Location was excellent. Plenty bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Despite shower leaking staff did mop up the water and provide fresh bath mats every day.
Shower leaked over floor and shower head didn't stay up on the pole. TV didn't work. Room was advertised as having a balcony but in effect it was a 2 foot overhang and was off the bathroom not what we expected. The property had communal kitchen facilities which included a good coffee machine (2 Euro) and is in reality a cross between a hotel and a hostel.
Dutxa estava espatllada
No sabó
Escoltava ascensor i no estavem al costat
Leuk dakterras met uitzicht op een ooievaarsnest.
Op loopafstand van alle restaurants en winkel.
Die Lage war sehr zentral gelegen. Nur wenige Minuten in die Altstadt und an den Hafen
Räume viel zu klein. Sehr schmutzig! Laut und warm im Zimmer.
It was a good location. Rooftop terrace was lovely
Room had a rolling door with the next room that couldn’t be locked. Cockroach in the ladies toilet. The 2 men on reception were exceptionally friendly. The lady was very blunt and didn’t really seem to care
This is a bit of a quirky place. Quite charming. It's somewhere between a hostel and hotel. For example it has a communal cooking & dining area downstairs and a rooftop area (which we made a lot of use of for meals, reading in the sunshine, etc). On the other hand are room was more like a standard hotel room (and we saw others when they were being cleaned that were also hotel type rooms). Staff are friendly and helpful. There was some work ongoing but this was done without causing us disruption. The lift works well if you have mobility issues (but see the negative comment I have added).
Our room was in need of renovation. The vinyl floor was damaged and you had to be careful not to trip. To be fair, the room next to ours was in the process of being renovated, so maybe they will all be upgraded soon? Accessibility: To enter the building there are steps that are quite steep and difficult for anyone with mobility issues (there might be another entrance?)
I did not receive the code for admittance until the early hours of the following day and therefore was locked out. I had to take a taxi to an alternative hotel at a cost of Euro 85.00. Booking
.com are supposedly dealing with my complaint so why have I received this message?
The location.
The bedroom didn't even had space for a small wardrobe. Also the walls were so thin you could hear everyone that walked past the room. The bathroom had huge damps.
Staff at check in were very helpful. The room was lovely and very clean. It was situated in a great position for exploring Faro and we will recommend it to family and friends if they were going to Faro.
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
The location was a perfect walking distance from shops, bars and ferry to the beach. The room was comfortable, air conditioning worked well, lovely big balcony doors that were perfect for some of that afternoon warmth without being out in the direct sun. The park across the street was perfect for a picnic, and some cheap parking on a side street. The terrace was a lovely spot with plenty of seating and shade, and the communal kitchen was well equipped!
There was a bit of a hiccup in an otherwise ideal stay- we went to check in about 4.30 and there was a notice saying reception was closed, luckily there was a member of housekeeping/maintenance staff there who contacted a receptionist for us and said we could leave our bags and come back in 30 minutes or wait in the small reception area. This wasn't quite ideal after a day in the sun but we killed some time in the park across the street. We gave them 45 minutes to allow for a bit of delay and when we arrived back at reception there was a different sign that said 'back in 20 mins'. We were starting to get a bit disappointed by this point. Luckily someone arrived to help us after about 10 minutes of waiting, it was now creeping up to 6pm. And would only give us access to 1 key card, after asking for a second and being told no. When we were checking out we casually mentioned it to a different, more senior receptionist who blamed the junior receptionist instead which felt unfair.
I would say it was a bit expensive for the experience, but great location.
