Perfect hotel and hosts
Pros:

Everything. Ed, Carol Ann and Lorna couldn't do enough. Breakfast was amazing

I would come back and stay here again.
Pros:

I had 3 rooms booked, we were attending a wedding. I called up the day before to ask about an early check in and was told the hotel was busy but they would get at least 1 room ready so we could all get changed, when we arrived all 3 rooms were ready. Very polite, helpful and happy staff. Drink in the bar was nice on the day of our arrival. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of options to choose from. Location of the hotel was on the main street in the centre of town. Rooms were very nice in an old and quirky building, my room had a hugh stone balcony.

Cons:

Bed was a bit small but very comfortable. But definetly not a problem.

Location very convenient. Good breakfast to suit all tastes.

Can’t think of anything really. The decor is tired in the main areas but our bedroom was nicely fitted out.

Great stay in Cockermouth
Pros:

Very friendly staff, great location on Main Street making it easy to walk to bars and restaurants. Free parking and good sized spaces. Excellent value with great breakfast included.

Cons:

Out of the hotels control but our room was on the top floor and due to the excessive heat it was uncomfortably hot, fan provided and helped a little, not helped by only velux window in the roof which did not provide much airflow at all. But this would not be problem in normal conditions.

Out of this World.
Pros:

Outstanding building. Staff were abolutely fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble and everything was done with a smile. Short walk to all amenities. We were made to feel at home and hospitality was amazing. Would recommend The Manor House Hotel to anybody that is looking for an exceptional stay.

Nothing to dislike.

Pros:

The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Very well looked after for the entire duration of our stay. The breakfast was particularly good. Lots of choice and very good quality.

Excellent Hotel and excellent location. Went to meet up with friends for just the one night so ideal
Pros:

The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Always going out of their way to make my stay comfortable.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like was the shower in the room was very low. Maybe a room on a lower floor would be better next time.

Fijne comfortabele plek op mooie locatie.
Pros:

Uitstekende locatie bij het centrum en horeca.
Zeer vriendelijk en uiterst behulpzaam personeel.
Men droogde onze natte motorkleding en deze lag 's ochtends droog weer voor ons klaar.
Prima ontbijt naar wens bereid.
Ruime parkeerlocatie.

A gem of a b and b in the heart of town
