Lovely building with original features gave it some character. Good parking facilities. Walking distance into the town. Excellent staff. Fantastic breakfast.
Just a bit dated in need of some TLC.
It was a beautiful property with lots of character and quirks. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We would definitely return if we come back this way.
Some dated features, but all working and clean !
The breakfast is excellent, and guests can order freshly prepared hot dishes if desired, which is highly recommended. Delicious. The cleanliness of the rooms and other facilities is exceptional. The location is good, with the option of taking food away and enjoying it outdoors or in your room, as the hotel currently does not serve dinner. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Fantastic area , nice and quiet , breakfast was awesome, room v clean and no complaints

Excellent location to town centre and ample parking
The eaves single room got very hot and the portable cooler was not very cooling.
The Scottish Salmon and scrambled eggs is the best breakfast in England and the staff is wonderful.
The rooms are on the smaller side.
Excellent location for town and lakes and will definitely stay again
Stair on the steep side but ok if one takes great care otherwise very good
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, very well prepared. We had a different table every day which was nice. Location is perfect.
Window didn't open in the bathroom. Shower was old school over the bath type, but it worked fine
Nice building good location
Room was very stuffy and small, shower was very small
The location was great and the breakfast was delicious
It was very tired and jaded . There were no fans provided in the room , it was uncomfortably hot . The smell of dampness or old building smell on the ground floor was significant
Good location
Smallest bed I’ve ever slept in. Room too hot and noisy guests
Everything. Ed, Carol Ann and Lorna couldn't do enough. Breakfast was amazing
Everything was perfect
I had 3 rooms booked, we were attending a wedding. I called up the day before to ask about an early check in and was told the hotel was busy but they would get at least 1 room ready so we could all get changed, when we arrived all 3 rooms were ready. Very polite, helpful and happy staff. Drink in the bar was nice on the day of our arrival. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of options to choose from. Location of the hotel was on the main street in the centre of town. Rooms were very nice in an old and quirky building, my room had a hugh stone balcony.
Bed was a bit small but very comfortable. But definetly not a problem.
