Arrived Friday Evening unaware that after 8:00 pm it practically becomes a nightclub, very noisy and could not sleep until after 1:00 pm when music settled down and people left.

A wonderful 2 day stay- the staff were all so obliging.The chef was terrific- especially at awesome breakfast 😀

Rooms were of poor quality. Car parking limited.

Cons:

Unfortunately there were fleas noted on one room. In another room I had flea bite’s didn’t notice until the next day.
I Hadn’t appreciated that it was a loud sports bar at night.

A great choice. Very comfortable, good food and excellent service.
Pros:

We loved the character of the Stage and its location. Our room was large and very comfortable with a good hot shower. The hotel also had secure storage for our bicycles. The food was very good too. The staff, especially the young lady who checked us in were so friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return.

A very pleasant stay … a real gem of a hotel!
Pros:

Beautifully transformed old building yet still keeping all original structure/features etc … very spacious superior room & ensuite, restaurant food exceptional & garden lovely with wonderfully calming river running past … numerous large screen tvs showing football too!

Change bed/ mattress and we would go back

A pleasant, friendly stay near to Burghley House
Pros:

Close enough proximity to Burghley House! Clean and welcoming and staff were lovely and helpful.

Cons:

Would prefer on site parking! The main road was VERY loud through the night though this is not the hotels fault.

On whole, very enjoyable.
Pros:

Central to other establishments and shops. Staff friendly and breakfast was tasty with good quality ingredients.

Cons:

Could not park in customer car park as it was a bank holiday and the space was out of bounds. Was not informed of this when booking and as we were moving my brother from Cambridge to Scotland we had valuables in the vehicles and were informed to park at Poundland. Did not feel comfortable with that but no other choice.

Nice but noisy
Pros:

The property was easy to find we arrived by bus so parking wasn't an issue. Staff were polite and the breakfast was lovely

Cons:

We stayed on a Friday night and as it was a warm night we had the window open. As our room was directly above the entrance to the pub we could hear loud people until midnight along with screeching cars racing up and down the road until 2 or 3am.I would recommend some ear plugs or maybe a room on the back or if at a weekend you won't get much sleep.

Pros:

Food was excellent. Bed was comfortable staff very pleasant.

Cons:

Outside roof terrace tables and chairs very dirty rubbish about. Bathroom doors round handle paintwork needed a clean easy to do

Family adventure
Pros:

Brilliant family room, clean spacious and the little extras hot chocolates my teens loved all staff from reception, bar and security were brilliant. Breakfast was lovely, outdoor for the upper rooms was great and having fan in the bedroom thank you as building old that no air con in upper rooms the fan is a blessing

Cons:

Spinach and mushrooms were boiled not pan fried so they just tasted water
