Cheap n cheerful clean rooms
Poor mattress, loud guests, ambulance waking us at 4am
The welcome I received on arrival was warm. The member of staff was very helpful.
I was in a double room on the top floor, which was very spacious. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was good. In general the room was clean.
There are a number of convenience stores and take aways within close proximity. Redditch town centre is less than a fifteen minute walk.
Despite some negative points I would consider staying here again.
The shower leaks - the seal at the bottom of the door is incomplete and the floor was soaking wet after a shower. A bath mat was not provided, had I been staying for more than one night I would have asked for one. The shower tiles, grout etc need a deep clean.
Directly opposite the hotel is a pub which played very loud music. There were drunken people in the pub’s outdoor seating area who were very noisy. While I was there we were experiencing a heatwave so I had to have all the windows open as there is no air-con or fan in the room. It may not have been so bad if I could have closed them. Luckily I travel with ear plugs and the noise did not disturb my sleep.
The windows do not have curtains, only vertical blinds so there was a lot of light in the room from street lights and when the sun rose. Not a problem for some, but if your sleep is disturbed by light you may want to consider taking eyeshades.
Great location, single room was lovely, bed comfy.
Nothing to dislike
Love the room and the comfortable beds and location
The shower was leaking and could have done with more towels and being able to get hold of their owner quicker
They upgraded me and that was really nice. The location and place is good for short stays as well.
I would like to have water in the rooms. It will also be nice to have iron in the room.
You get what you pay for. This is no frills, fairly standard fare. The room was ok, the giant crack in the window wasn't a great look, but it didn't spoil things either. Comfortable, adequate, cheap.
No hand towels, no mat for the shower, the plug didn't work for the TV, decor was dated, carpet in need of replacing, and mattress slid on the bed. At the end of the day I chose the hotel as it was cheap and handy for our trip. Stayed in worse, but it is what it is, cheap.
It was a pretty grotty place for the price of £84 a night
Convenience of checking out and it. WiFi available in the room.
There was a dirty towel in the shower and the heating was on high with no way if turning it down.
Clean tidy. Bed was lovely felt like one of the three bears 🐻 😀
I didn't have breakfast. The location was fine as I was visiting family and it just took about five minutes to get to them.
Value for money was excellent.
The shower needs a little TLC but good enough for a day or two.
