Rustige ligging van het hotel en vriendelijk personeel
De warmte op de zolderkamer en de douche/toilet een verdieping lager.
It’s in a gorgeous setting. It’s an old house but they have made this a feature (along with having all mod cons of course). Lovely wood flooring and original fire places. The room was clean, bright and airy. The shower had excellent pressure. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was tasty. It’s pet-friendly so we got to fuss some lovely dogs. What more do you need! The managers are a lovely couple who clearly love the hotel.

Mooi gelegen in een groen domein. Op rij afstand van Hastings. Vriendelijke eigenaar, behulpzaam.
Groot huis , vergane glorie. Langs de buitenkant kan het verf- en poetsbeurt gebruiken. Onze kamer was proper en wel ok ingericht met waterkoker en thee/koffie. Wel warm, een klein ventilatortje...
Freundliches Personal.
Dieses Hotel war früher sicherlich einmal ein echtes Juwel. Das Gebäude selbst ist wunderschön und hat viel Charme. Leider wirkt heute alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen und ungepflegt.
In den öffentlichen Bereichen liegt viel Staub, und insgesamt fehlt es an Sauberkeit und Pflege. Unser Zimmer war grundsätzlich in Ordnung, das Badezimmer hingegen war enttäuschend. Es waren überall Haare zu finden, und die Fugen zwischen den Fliesen waren teilweise verschimmelt.
Unser Eindruck ist, dass dem Hotel vermutlich die finanziellen Mittel für notwendige Renovierungen fehlen. Mindestens genauso auffällig ist jedoch, dass es an Liebe zum Detail und an einer konsequenten Instandhaltung mangelt. Es wirkt nicht so, als würde sich jemand regelmäßig und mit der nötigen Sorgfalt um Wartung und Pflege kümmern.
Das einzige wirkliche Highlight waren die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, die stets bemüht und hilfsbereit waren.
Das ist besonders schade, denn man erkennt sofort, welches Potenzial dieses Hotel einmal hatte und auch heute noch hätte.
The property had some lovely features. All the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was large, clean and comfortable. We had an excellent breakfast which was very good value

Locatie is prima, helaas aan een best drukke weg. Kamers waren schoon! Maar kunnen wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

We have the tiniest bathroom that was difficult to navigate. It was down stairs from our attic bedroom which was unbearably hot. The bathroom was on the fire escape route and didn’t feel very private or secure. Although our room was clean the whole place needed modernisation
The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for me.
The hotel has recently changed hands and as a consequence they are suffering a few teething issues with their internet and currently a lack of a chef. Didn't really affect my stay but I know some guests were less than happy.
