Es war staubig und die Toilette roch nach Kanalisation. Das muss dringend überprüft werden.

The rooms had a strong musty, mold-like smell, the shower pressure was very weak, and the cleanliness was poor, I even found hair from previous guests in the sink and toilet.
The way I was treated at reception was extremely disrespectful and upsetting. Based on my experience, I felt that the hotel prioritized making money over the comfort and satisfaction of its guests.
I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.
Wat een fantastisch hotel. Ik verbleef hier 4 nachten in een DeLuxe kamer. Het hotel is zeer schoon, het bed was enorm groot en comfortabel en de badkamer was netjes, groot, schoon en met stortdouche. Geluiddicht, heb echt niemand gehoord en super goed geslapen.
Nespresso op de kamer en 2 flessen water die dagelijks bijgevuld werden. Ontbijt mega goed en uitgebreid en in de ontbijtruimte veel plaats en tafels niet al te dicht op elkaar. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Echt 1 van de beste hotels. Het eten in restaurants Puro is ook een aanrader. Overal zou ik niet twijfelen om hier te boeken. Locatie top ook, op loopafstand van oude centrum.

The carpets on each floor were dirty and well past their sell by date - they badly need replacing - I was quite shocked as the rest of the hotel is pristine
Towels were far from 5* - they feel 3* at best
The ac/ heating didn’t work very well - I had a couple of staff members visit to see if they could improve it but no joy
At 450 usd a night the rooms are adequate but not luxe - it didn’t feel like good value for money
Great location. Close to tram stops. Near the train station where you can easily catch a bus to and from the airport. TV had English speaking channels. There is a kettle in the room and a decent size fridge. Beds were comfortable. Location was quiet and felt safe. The movenpick vanilla and chocolate ice cream is an absolute must!!!!
Bath towels were small. Strange design feature with bath tap in shower sticking out making it awkward to move in the shower. No drawers in the room but plenty of hanging space. As a consequence more hangers needed.
Nous n'avions pas d'eau dans le chambre le matin, l'avons mentionné à la réception qui nous a assurés que cela fonctionnerait à notre retour, ce qui n'était toujours pas le cas. J'ai insisté pour changer de chambre à 22h, ce qui nous a été accordé, sans pour autant que la direction ne fasse le moindre geste pour les inconvénients subis.
The location is perfect close to all, what one might need in Basel; staff very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast exceptional.
Out of three days when I was staying in the hotel, one day drinking water and cofee creamer were not refilled.

The meal I had in the bistro was excellent, the breakfast also. The waiting staff were lovely. I had a large room with a view of the railway station.
The hotel is stingy with tea bags in the room, 1 each for 24 hours. I asked for a small jug of fresh milk for my room to have with the tea and I was told it would cost 7 Swiss francs! I have never encountered a charge for fresh milk before.

I ordered an omelet, and the waitress didn't order it at the kitchen. No one came to me to ask for a coffee, and it was difficult to find stuff to order a coffee with oat milk.
The room service took away my bottle of water, which I left outside the fridge intentionally.
