Convenient. Friendly staff. They helped us with keeping our luggage even after we had checked out. Allowed us to spend more time in the city

If you’ve ever seen those real estate ads where the photos of rooms are taken with a fisheye lens to make them look larger, well, expect the same at The Draper. A tiny room, tiny bathroom, no closet and dim hallways with low ceilings, all for a (discounted) $400 a night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so they can’t be blamed for the architecture. I fear these little “capsule” rooms are the future of hotels. No thanks.

Front desk staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. Complimentary water bottles and free water station on the ground floor were nice touches.

TRhe location is very good if you like Mid-town. The rooms are small, which I knew. While the staff was nice everything else is poor.

We had a very nice stay at the Draper for a family trip. The location is great, with easy access to the subway and close to restaurants and attractions that were walkable. The Empire State Building and Grand Central Terminal were close by and just a short walk to Macy’s and Penn Station / MCG. The rooms are fairly small and not much room to unpack, so as long as you are prepared for that, you will have a nice stay. The bar was very nice for a late night drink and the coffee and light breakfast items in the lobby were convenient. There is also a Starbucks 2-3 blocks away.

This is our third time staying here. Very consistent with cleanliness and customer care. Convenient location. The bed and pillows are phenomenal making for a great night’s sleep! Highly recommend!

We recently returned from our second stay at the Draper. The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet, and the view of the Empire State Building can't be beat. The location is great -- a short walk to Broadway theaters, without the craziness of Times Square. The front desk staff are all excellent, and Sri worked very hard to fix our TV so that we could watch CBS (yes, I know, the purpose of vacation is not to watch TV, but we really wanted to watch the Tony Awards, having just seen a nominated show that afternoon!). Our only issue, other than the TV problem, was some inconsistency with the supplies in our room: when we arrived, there was no remote control for the TV; one day, there was no soap in our room; and another day, we had 5 pouches of Decaf coffee but no regular coffee. But these are minor issues that can easily be fixed. Also, on a funny note: as we were checking out, we told Sri how much we hated to leave, and he told us that he had one room available for that evening in case we wanted to stay. We should have listened to him, because we received a notification on our drive to the airport that our flight had been cancelled! (Next time, Sri, we'll be sure to listen to you!)

Recently stayed at the Draper on a solo trip to NYC and loved it! The rooms are small, but very nice. The hotel staff was lovely and the location was very convenient to all things Manhattan and to the subway. The location felt very safe to me. I look forward to returning!
