Great location. Clean rooms. Staff was amazing!

It was a nice bar with a happy hour.

I stayed here for 3 nights last month on their top floor. When I checked in, the front desk offered me points or $18 per guest per day at their cafe/restaurant as I am a Hilton Gold member. When I checked out, they charged me for the money spent at the cafe and the front desk promised to speak with their manager. They explained that I did not get the promo because I booked through a third party but I pointed out that they had more info than me on my eligibility and they should not have offered this promo if it did not apply to me. Also, no reasonable person in NYC near Bryant Park would spend this amount of money at their overpriced cafe in the morning when they could just go to Le Pain or Paris Baguette on the corner or Blue Bottle or Pret next to Bryant Park. The charge was still there a week later so I called back and they promised to discuss with a manager (still waiting for that call) but they also tried to figure out who to blame at their front desk for misinforming me. There are plenty of hotels in NYC where the staff will not try to blame you or their co-workers and ignore / refuse to refund you for a simple misunderstanding. I probably would have given it a 3.5 for location and could have returned on a future visit but it seems like this hotel would rather lose a customer over less than $100. Btw, my stay there was $1280 so I hope they feel good about their decision. FYI, there's an Embassy Suites on the same street just a few buildings down and a Marriott across the street but in any event, plenty of different hotels to pick that may treat you like an actual customer.

From checking in until checking out the stay was excellent.
Both our rooms were very clean and in good order with fantastic views of the Empire State Building just 2 streets south.
Every interaction with the hotel staff was fantastic - reception, bar, breakfast bar and the unsung heroes.... housekeeping.
The location was great. What ever you want is close by or a uber / subway ride away.
A special thank you to all the reception staff who always greeted us and asked how we were, what were our plans and what we had done when we arrived back.Thank you and hopefully see you all again

This hotel is my first choice whenever I travel to New York! The rooms are always clean, reasonably priced, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. I’m obsessed with the beds and pillows — I honestly get the best night’s sleep every time I stay at the Draper. You’d never expect it in the city, but it’s surprisingly quiet at night.

The restaurant is also a hidden gem with great dinner options and an awesome happy hour. Plus, it’s within walking distance to Macy’s, which is such a perk. I highly recommend this hotel!!

My bed was very comfortable and exceeded my expectations.

An excellent place to stay if you want to be at the heart of New York and some of its best attractions. We were able to walk or take the subway to just about anything within tourist attraction. The service at the hotel was superb. We especially enjoyed the kind care we got from Rohan. When we arrived early he held our bags also we could explore the city and then called us to let us know when our room was ready. While rooms are a bit small, the beds were comfortable and amenities were fine. If you’re planning a trip and want to be central to everything and comfortable as well, this is the place for you.

Amazing location and even better service. The hotel is in a fantastic spot, making it super convenient to get around and enjoy the city. What really stood out, though, was the staff—they were not only genuinely friendly, but incredibly accommodating throughout our stay.

A special shoutout to Vaish at the front desk, who was absolutely awesome and made us feel so welcome. We also loved the bartender, who was a cool guy and gave us a great local pizza recommendation that did not disappoint. It was those personal touches and local tips that made the experience feel extra special.

Highly recommend staying here if you want a great location and a team that truly goes above and beyond.
