Comfortable , well situated hotel but don’t rely on getting the type of room you booked.
Pros:

It was convenient for walking to various places of interest. The staff were polite but not as friendly as other reviews led me to believe
The room was comfortable but I had requested I’d paid for a twin room wirh 2 beds. I had booked the room well in advance and paid for it in advance. I also sent emails confirming I wanted a twin bed room When we got to the room - it had a double bed. I went done to reception and asked for a change - but was refused and told all twin rooms already occupied. I was a widow travelling with a male friend with whom for varios personal reasons I did not want to share a bed, so I spent 3 uncomfortable nights. There was no compromise or expansion why I was allowed to book and reserve a twin room if they could not guarentee one.

Paying the hotel directly caused several problems as they use a banking system which isn’t recognised in Uk and my card was blocked as bank thought it was suspicious. Neither Booking . Com at first or the hotel acknowledged the company name but later hotel confirmed Data trans to be legitimate.

Pros:

The hotel was exceptionally clean (full marks to the cleaners). The rooms were cleaned daily..
The location was perfect. Close to everything, yet far enough away for peace n quiet.
Comfy beds and an amazing shower.
The staff were very helpful and always had a smile. I highly recommend this hotel. And would return to it, should I return to Porto.
Thanks for a very pleasant and welcoming stay.

Porto und das Douro Valley sind eine Reise wert. Das Hotel war ok.
Pros:

Die Lage ist recht gut, da man das Zentrum gut zu Fuß erreicht. Unser Zimmer war zum Glück in den Hof orientiert und damit von der stark befahrenen Straße abgewandt. Haus und Zimmer haben einen modernen Standard und sind sehr sauber. Auch einige Designfeatures habun uns gut gefallen.

Cons:

Die Umgebung des Hotels hat uns ein Stück weit schockiert, da die Straße stark befahren ist und auch die Nachbargebäude in keinem guten Zustand sind. Das Frühstück war ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Die Garage kostet 16 € pro Tag, ist in einem gegenüberliegenden, baufälligen Gebäude untergebracht und erfordert sehr gute Fahrkünste, um Rampe und Einparken zu bewältigen.

A good location for tourist who can walk, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

Cons:

We picked the hotel as there was a bar. On arrival on the first day we were told the bar closes at 4pm and there is no opportunity to get a drink in the evening. This needs to be communicated to customers

Pros:

Sehr zentrale Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und mit dem gewissen Extra ausgestattet (sehr stylisch). Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen, es war für jeden etwas dabei.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer hatte einen Balkon zur Rückseite des Hotels. Leider direkt unterhalb der Musikhochschule, so dass an Ruhe vor 22.00 h nicht zu denken war (es wurde bei offenen Fenstern gesungen und musiziert). Zu allem Überfluss befanden sich auch die 3 großen Klimagerät des Hotels unterhalb unseres Balkons. Man hatte immer das Gefühl, das eine Waschmaschine im Schleudergang tätig war. Das war leider ein großer Minuspunkt, da wir mehr oder weniger gezwungen waren, mit geschlossenem Fenster und laufender Klimaanlage zu schlafen.

Comfortable Boutique Hotel, with Parking

Compact hotel - comfortable beds, good bathroom with decent toiletries, Parking nearby.

Cons:

A 15min walk to the centre of Porto and no coffee bars or breakfast places on the doorstep. Walk back from centre was slightly uphill
