Beer - excellent choice and very cheap
Breakfast - amazing value
Parking - free but in short supply. There are about 10 parking spaces outside the front of the pub. If you can find a free space ( we drove around then town a few times and luckily found one), staff will give guests a ticket for free parking until 11am on the morning of your departure. On the morning we left 4 cars had been clamped.
Aircon - very effective but we had to get staff to help get it working
Staff - very friendly, responsive and helpful
Location convenient for Dublin and Malahide. Interesting castle ruins. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.
The TV didn't work, and staff were unable to fix it.
Perfect. Close to the airport. Gorgeous town. Lots of dinning & beverages options.
The bed was comfortable.
There was no outside window. It was a small room with a skylight only. I wasn't aware that there was no window to the outside. It was difficult to check in, the hotel reception was a corner of the bar - seemingly disorganized. The printer didn't work so I didn't get a copy of my invoice. The TV did not work. The manager came to try to fix it and couldn't. The wifi was poor and I didn't use it. It was very poor value for the expense.
In good location
Food choice.
Staff
Old
Location and breakfast.
Lack of flexibility of manager. Their magazine said it closed at 12.30. We arrived at 12.35 after a very difficult journey and without our luggage, which had gone missing, but he refused our request for a drink to unwind, and said the bar was closed. There was a strange smell in the room when we arrived and the quality of the toilet paper was very poor. The whole establishment lacked atmosphere and the standard answer to requests from guests was “no. “
Comfortable pillows
Room stank of sewerage, no lift for heavy cases, no tv, no WiFi, staff completely indifferent could have stayed at a five star for the money you charged!
Parking a bonus in a busy town like swords .Good breakfast at very good rates. Air conditioning and lovely comfy bed .Location close to airport.
North Dublin location, comfortable room.
WiFi not working, very difficult parking
Staff were pleasant and rooms were clean.
Early check-in was not possible even though i called the hotel the previous day and was told our party could check-in early for a fee. Hotel staff had no note saying this and our party waiting an hour and a half waiting for rooms to be available. We believe it was a reservation contact who made this error.
The only fault is parking.
Very limited when busy.
Great staff
Parking set up
location central
old tired smelly staff unhelpful
Location staff food and price was excellent
Everything was good
Excellent location and great staff
We received outstanding service by the hotel manager J from the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally welcoming, professional, and accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, always taking the time to assist with any questions
Nothing
The in-house pub/bar was decent quality and prices, and the hotel was centrally located. The staff were very helpful.
The room's only window was a skylight, which at least opened for ventilation but was right next to the AC system so it was very loud, which made lighting very weird and nigh non-existent, it felt very closed off and did NOT match my expectations based on the photos on the website. Also the only shampoo was a hair/body all in one and no conditioner to be found. The "free parking" was free - when available, and considering the VERY popular restaurant/pub that made up the bottom floor, that was SELDOM past 11 a.m., aka any time you were returning from a day out or checking in. There were fewer spots than there were rooms, even, so first-come first-serve parking was never going to actually fit all hotel guests. There IS pay by the hour street parking available nearby, but it is also hard to get as the street is packed with restaurants and clubs, so parking is very hard to find. If arriving via taxi/bus or on a motorcycle, would work better.
