The hotel was adequate for our needs because we didn't spend much time there except to sleep.
Pros:

Good location within walking distance of Goryokaku fort and local restaurants, small but comfortable enough room.

Cons:

I asked at the front desk about the streetcar system and schedule, but the staff was only moderately helpful and provided only partial information. I think management should help staff improve their knowledge of the streetcar schedules or at least the ability to pull up the information on the computer at the front desk.
Breakfast was OK if somewhat limited in its selection.

Fine, but with a bit more care, could be a lot better.
Pros:

Clean, bright, but quite sparse and sterile. The cleaning staff did a fantastic job, and the kitchen staff were excellent, very welcoming and warm.

Cons:

The reception staff could have been friendlier. It always shocks me when they don't smile or say hello and goodbye. There was no art on the wall, and so it felt very cold to me. A single hard pillow in the room (which is not unusual in budget hotels in Japan, but still my biggest pet hate!). A single reading light, and a main light for the room made it feel like a very basic space.

快適でした。
Pros:

お風呂桶が、他のビジネスホテルよりも長さが長く、足が伸ばせる感じで良かった！

Cons:

フロントスタッフが、ホテル➡️函館空港のタクシー料金(時間は15～20分位と判っていた)がいかほど判らなかったが残念！ホテルにタクシーを呼んで頂く対応は、手際よく流石と感じた。

朝ご飯おいしかった。スタッフがとても明るくて良かった。

Cons:

車で行ったが2日目は観光で電車のフリーパスで観光した。次の日出る時に駐車場が前払いだった。駐車場案内する時に前払いのところ、後払いの所もあると説明してほしかった。
