Location good
Room not serviced at all during 4 day stay even when requested.
No blind in shower room, only lightly frosted glass
in window directly over bars outside sitting area, ok for exhibitionists.
Room very hot no fan.
Shortages at breakfast e.g no orange juice for 3 days only apple juice 1 day. No fruit, not much choice of cereal.
Steep narrow stairs leading to rooms really difficult especially with luggage.
.
Lovely spot right on Sutton Staithe. Decent menu and food for an evening meal.
Pretty basic room, said water view or terrace view but we just had a big felt roof with a glimpse of the water.
Location, room, staff. Overall pretty good value for money.
Breakfast was ok but fairly basic, and the same could be said about the restaurant.
Comfortable room, good shower, good wifi, great view, nice flowers.
No food available despite being stated it was on booking.com which was very disappointing, so don't go on Sunday evening or Monday if you want a meal! Staff had no suggestions of where else to go.
Bar / restaurant area was very dark and decor/ furniture did not fit the old building.
Great location right by the water (good location for kayak launching, I think, if you have the permit) and ample parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Would be happy to stay there again.
The mirror light in the bathroom didn't work. It's a self-checkout system (key drop-off) so didn't have the chance to flag this up to the staff. The bar / restaurant closes quite early (on some nights), so when we got there it was shut.
The closest to the river
Bedroom was dusty doors very stiff door handles in danger of coming away when opening from inside.stairs very steep and narrow grubby in places walls and skirting bed lights didn't work ie no bulbs in fittings.view from window was only of the bins and unkempt area outside.charged forty pounds for two small dogs. Breakfast was cold only egg was freshly cooked all else was cold no bread in bread bin.
Whould I stay again no.
The staff were friendly and the property was clean
Nothing
The location was perfect for coast and country, the staff were brilliant especially the hard-working waiter who seemed to work 24/7 with a smile on his face.
The hotel could do with some TLC but was absolutely fine... It is an old building after all.
The room was nice, but very hot when we arrived on Friday.
Bathroom and shower was very spacious.
We had a meal Friday night and breakfast on Saturday, which were good. At breakfast the member of staff did seem to struggle on their own.
We didnt see a member of housekeeping staff during our stay Friday to Monday.
If there had been a fridge in our room we would have managed better, as it was so hot.
Food was amazing! Slightly higher price than usual, but very nice food
Quiet location, had everything I needed
Price of food quite high
Hotel is in a picturesque location with the broads on its doorstep. Our room had a large bedroom and ensuite.. Very near the coast.
Not a dislike but could have had a small table in the bathroom for women's paraphernalia! Also the exceptional heat meant that the room was very hot. The windows don't open so a fan would have been useful
Good place to stay, excellent breakfasts. Very friendly helpful staff.
Good place with helpful staff, good value
Place was fine but could do with some TLC. Rooms could do with a refresh, but were okay for a night.
Lovely historic hotel right by the Broads with easy access to riverside and boating. Rooms were great. Nice comfy bed. Breakfast lovely and very reasonable. Lovely pub with great food and atmosphere. That it is dog friendly is a bonus. Staff were exceptionally pleasant.
Nothing.
everything
nothing
Lovely location for a short staycation with friendly helpful staff.
A bit more cooler fan cooling systems for hot summer nights
Great location, lovely old building, loved the maze of corridors and stairs especially the stair literally into the bar almost. There's a friendly atmosphere and easy parking.
Not really anything to dislike and not going to be picky!
