Beautiful property, very friendly staff, they gave us a nice upgrade without even asking.
Food/cocktails were rather pricey.
View from room was fantastic. Enjoyed the meals.
I knew beforehand but lots of stairs. I use a cane but walked slow and careful. Well worth the effort to enjoy the excellent view.
I loved the location as it is very close to the town. However, be warned of the steep incline to get to the property.
Beautiful views. Loved the private terrace. The cats and kittens that hung out outside our room were an amazing bonus.
It’s a great place to stay
The breakfast was a bit depressing. I thought given the price breakfast would be included but you have to pay extra for eggs!! Which seemed abit unfair to me.
We spent a wonderful 11 days at Green Fig (couple with 2 teenage daughters). The setting and views are breathtakingly beautiful. We had great rooms with large balconies and everything you would need (fridge, efficient a/c, hairdryer, iron, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water every day, safe). Housekeepers visited daily and did a good job. The staff were all helpful and friendly - especially the management team we met and Onion on the bar who entertained us every evening The hotel was very lively some days (loud evenings at the bar) but peaceful others (and you could always find a quiet spot if needed) Entertainment 7-8.30 3 or 4 times per week. Most days we had one of the three pools to ourselves. Food - menu quite small but everything we ate was tasty and well presented and good value compared to some of the neighbouring establishments. Communication via WhatsApp was efficient and the front desk arranged numerous tours for us. There are lots of steps as described so a certain level of fitness is needed (but also needed for most of the local trips as this is a very hilly area). It was noisy from the town most days and nights but we enjoyed hearing the local music. Watched the World Cup on the big tv (by request - it wasn’t on most of the time). Walk into town only 10 minutes but very steep hill so usually reserved the hotel shuttle back. Local beach was authentic and mainly frequented by locals and we enjoyed the atmosphere (and the roaming chickens). A bar and a couple of food stalls on the beach. Best trips (and best value) - the sunset catamaran tour, Tet Paul hike and Sapphire Falls. If we could come back every year we would!
the view and the staff were really nice
food in the restaurant was not good, the rooms they smell, supper smelly rooms, it was really uncomfortable, i would not recommand this place for couples.
Beautiful views of the Piton mountains and water overlooking the town of Soufriere (which means sulfer) from my balcony. (_•• all the rooms have a unique charm) Loved the romantic canopy bed and loft in mine. Staff, was friendly and attentive and caring.
Spa with La, was breathtaking with open air view. Loved her energy, after my long journey. -Very relaxing way to Unwind.
Onion the bar tender was entertaining to our whole group and fun. Michael and Dean the managers and Lee were all outstanding. Lance, one of the owners was very conscientious, hard working and kind.
Lots of stairs bcuz it’s built into a hill - but the views are worth it. My legs got in better shape for it ! The staff (Gilute) helped me to my room with my bags, while showing me around. (Also, they can bring them up for you when you depart.)
Front desk will help with anything you’d like to do. any cabs or tours or spa experiences- Botanical gardens or hot springs and mudd baths.
I am a world traveller. Highly recommend. If you are visiting St Lucia. A unique and special air b n b. Made even better by their property management team.
Also, I might recommend a water taxi to the night party/market they have up North on the weekend. (But they can also help you find a driver)
We tried the Tree house restaurant which was also stellar. The food at the hotel Green Fig was good too.
I enjoyed the crab cakes appetizer!
Great staff members like: Lee, Ro, and Hartley, made our stay very enjoyable.
This is a great resort for folks like us, who enjoy staying at a "real" hotel versus a cheesy all-inclusive resort.
And the local feel of the town of Soufriere was perfect for us, along with the excellent condition of the reefs.
We will be back.
My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Green Fig Resort and honestly, it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! From the breathtaking views to the peaceful atmosphere, everything about this resort screams paradise. Waking up every morning surrounded by the beauty of Soufrière with the stunning Pitons in the background felt unreal.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, always welcoming us with warm smiles and exceptional service. The rooms were beautiful, clean, cozy, and perfectly set for a romantic getaway. The food? Absolutely amazing — every meal was a 10/10 experience!
What truly made Green Fig unforgettable was the vibe. It’s the perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, romance, and authentic Saint Lucian beauty. Whether you’re looking for a honeymoon spot, anniversary getaway,
or simply a peaceful escape, this is THE place to be.
Thank you Green Fig Resort for helping us create memories we’ll cherish forever. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️🇱🇨✨
My wife and I had a wonderful time at The Green Fig, the view was spectacular and the staff was great! Especially Lee, she made us feel like family. Such a natural and peaceful setting. Onion, the bartender, as well as Hartley, were experts at their craft and willing to help us in anyway possible. It was just a fantastic experience and I look forward to going again.
The green fig is a sweet, unique and beautiful experience. The people are very kind. The location is fabulous and so close to everything you would want to do on St. Lucia especially diving. The diving is magical.
We had a lovely stay at the green fig! We did lots of scuba diving and the location of the green fig made for a quick walk down to the dive shop. We got our steps in for sure but they were well rewarded with yummy meals and fun drinks! All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful and other guests were very friendly. The room was clean and air conditioned, there are 3 pools and beautiful views of the town of Soufrière and of the Petit Piton. This was a very peaceful place to stay and felt very comfortable and safe, I would definitely recommend.
Location and views are spectacular. Hotel is walking distance from town and the beach but, you must be fit to walk back as this place is built into the side of a hill overlooking town, the Pitons and the beach. If you don't feel like walking, they will arrange for their hotel shuttle to pick you up or drop you off. Since this place is built into the side of a hill, there are stairs to navigate no matter where you go on the property. If you can't handle a lot of stairs, stay in one of the rooms near the restaurant and bar as you will have fewer to navigate going from your room to the restaurant or leaving/arriving the property to go on your adventures. Food was very good for every meal we had during our weeks long stay. The best asset of this place though is the staff. They all rate amongst the best of anywhere we have traveled and we enjoyed interacting with everyone throughout or stay. Would definitely go back and stay again.
The scenic views were amazing.
We didn’t anticipate the stairs. We knew little about the property beforehand and so weren’t prepared to navigate the multiple steep stairs. My wife mobility issues.
Stunning views from the room and the bar / restaurant area. Fantastic location from which to explore all the soufriere activities inc mud baths, waterfalls, hotel chocolat, sugar beach, and while i was there the jazz festival. Lovely atmosphere in the pool/bar area. Great place to stay for a few days. Longer than that and id have struggled not having my own vehicle because it really adds up paying for taxis / trips.
Breakfast could be limited esp if you werent there early - for example they wouldnt replace the fruit. While you could order eggs, pancakes etc you had to pay extra- i think with limited changes this could be hugely improved. There are loads of steps but handily i was on the top level so didnt affect me but worth being aware if you have any mobility restrictions.
Swimming pool, piton view, and the bar(food and drink were nice)
1) lack of 24/7 reception desk
2) dirty windows
3) steps from lobby to the room needs modernising, we felt unsteady
4) a member of staff at the reception was not welcoming while others were absolutely fine
5) no telephone in the room to contact the reception
6) lack of variety in breakfast considering what we paid
7) our room(Bali suite) felt tired. It does not look like the photo. Bathroom felt dark and to turn on the main light, you need to stand on the ladder( + did not work on the first night, needed to request the reception to fix it)
We chose this because we wanted a nice view while dining and we were not disappointed. The room, bar and views alongside the staff were excellent. The food is superb, we ate here a few times, and never felt hungry or unsatisfied.
The staff were excellent and we felt valued all week. They were more than happy to arrange shuttles and tours if you needed.
Only things to consider would be it is a hillside resort so you will get the steps in going up and down to the rooms.
I am very disappointed with my stay at the Green Fig Resort in St. Lucia. The experience was far below expectations and absolutely not in line with the high price paid for the room.
As shown in the attached photos, the buildings are shabby, poorly constructed, and generally badly maintained. The overall impression is one of neglect and lack of care, which is very surprising for a resort in this price range even if defined “eco lodge”
The access to the rooms is particularly problematic. The stairs are steep, unsafe, and have very small steps, making them difficult to use and dangerous, especially when carrying luggage. This is not suitable for many guests and feels poorly designed.
Service was another major issue. The staff appeared unmotivated and disengaged, often distracted by their phones while answering questions. There was a clear lack of interest in assisting guests or addressing their needs properly, which made the stay feel impersonal and frustrating.
The continental breakfast was also very misleading compared to what I generally know as “continental breakfast” (see photos). In reality, it is extremely limited and poor in quality and quantity. Almost everything comes as an expensive extra, even items like an omelette, whee not even three ego are included despite being standard in most hotel and ridicolous as an extra with a night price like this.
Overall, the experience was very disappointing and does not justify the high cost of the accommodation
The only positive aspect of the stay was the incredible view of the Pitons, which is truly breathtaking and memorable.
