Central location on Morpeth Main Street opposite the bakery and right near the river. 2 bedrooms with massive comfortable beds and a huge balcony to enjoy the lovely weather. The owners bought us fresh milk, orange juice, monte Carlo’s and a yummy muesli which was a beautiful touch. The soaps in the bathroom and shower were very luxurious. Bathroom was stunning.
Nothing.
The self check in was easy to use, the quirky decor was pleasant to chill in, the room had absolutely everything you'd need for a comfortable few night stay, close to local eateries, great coffee machine, spacious shower and a lovely mini view of the river. Have booked again. Thank you so much.
It was very quirky, which I loved. The packet of Monte Carlo biscuits was a fun touch as the suite was named that.
The top back bedroom got a bit of road noise from old bridge at night. No TV was a surprise but fine. Was a little difficult getting suit cases upstairs - but we should have maybe packed less.
ate out for breakfast. The accommodation was in a great location right in the heart of Morpeth's main street. Had some things to do in East Maitland and it was an easy 10 minutes' drive away.
Location and the attention to detail in the accomodation.
I needed to watch the cricket but they do not have a tv!!
I coped...I watched it on my phone. Didn't love that!!
The room itself was very spacious and there was plenty of goodies, ie in the Vovo room there was a packet of Iced Vovo's, very nice touch.
I cut my foot on a rusty piece of metal sticking up from the floor. It was a part of the floor.
No TV. Yeah, that's on me for not reading the fine print.
Really well thought out little touches that make such a huge difference.
The history
Great location for attending a local wedding
Very loud and bits of damp on old walls
It’s a historic place
Excellent location - walk to everything or sit on the deck and watch the activity in the main street. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
The living area was very cold and quite dark. The air-con blows on top of a bookcase so doesn't heat the room.
We loved our stay at the William Arnott boutique hotel, and the surrounding village was
Location only
Wasn't properly cleaned, skirtings, backs of doors, window sills all needed a wash. No TV, no hairdryer, no scourer to clean dishes, towels okay but only one washer and hand towel and both were very old. Description on web said two bedrooms but it had one bedroom and bunk beds in the living area. We left early and lost one nights accommodation because it was so uncomfortable. We added two nights with the owner directly because we received an email from them to say you charge 15% so to book directly. We thought that was a bit cheeky given that we only found them through your site. When I spoke to the owner he said there were lots of restaurants and eating places but on Monday night nothing was open. The photos on the web are very deceptive. Very over priced this is basic accommodation billed as boutique hotel but there was no service at all.
LT
The historic ornate decor in the separate lounge and nice updated bathroom with lovely walk in shower were very inviting. The staff were very accommodating and understanding.
It was the worst experience of staying in a place. It’s called a hotel but it’s not even convenient like a cabin. Full of cockroaches and spiders around the room poor cleaning and poor service. No one is responsible as a reception or answering your calls. The wooden building is super old and upstair residents keep banging on the floor to make every one quiet whole time. We had to escape from there after spending nonsleeping night
