Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong

1. The location was great. Super convenient. There is a train station outside, and myeongdong market was near enough but not too near.
2. Size of room was nice. Layout was good.

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of menu items.

Location was great. Walking distance to myeongdong street and seoul station was only 5mins away by taxi.

Like many other guests have noted, Four Points by Sheraton Seoul Myeongdong offers many features that make international travelers feel comfortable and welcome. The location is excellent, the views are impressive, the rooms are quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the staff members are professional and attentive. These qualities alone make it a property that I would gladly recommend. However, I would like to highlight an additional feature that most guests may not notice but can certainly benefit from—indoor air quality.

As an indoor air quality researcher, I travel with laboratory-grade air quality instruments and routinely assess hotel guestrooms around the world. During my three-night stay in Room #2607, I monitored carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels, which are commonly used as an indicator of fresh-air ventilation effectiveness in occupied spaces. I was pleasantly surprised to find that overnight CO₂ levels generally remained around or below 800 ppm while I was sleeping. Research has shown that maintaining bedroom CO₂ concentrations below approximately 800 ppm can support better sleep quality by reducing sleep disturbances and nighttime awakenings. In many hotels I have assessed, overnight CO₂ levels frequently exceed 1,500 to 2,000 ppm, particularly in tightly sealed guestrooms.

The ventilation system in Room #2607 continuously supplied fresh outdoor air throughout the night, helping maintain a healthy sleeping environment. As someone who often struggles with severe jet lag during international travel, I found that I slept exceptionally well during my stay. While guests may choose this hotel for its location, comfort, and service, I believe the property's effective fresh-air ventilation deserves recognition as an additional amenity that contributes to guest wellness and restorative sleep. I hope hotel management continues to invest in and promote this often-overlooked aspect of the guest experience.

I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Seoul.

I stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Josun Seoul Myeongdong for five nights in May 2026 while on a business trip.

The hotel's biggest strength is its location. It is right in the heart of Seoul, with countless restaurants, shopping opportunities and attractions nearby, yet my room on the 25th floor was remarkably quiet. As an added bonus, I had a beautiful view of N Seoul Tower from my corner room.

The room itself was not particularly spacious, but perfectly adequate for a solo business traveller. The excellent sound insulation, very effective air conditioning and overall cleanliness stood out positively. The bathroom was also perfectly acceptable for this category of hotel, with sufficient space and a good shower.

Service was typically Asian in the best sense of the word: discreet, professional and consistently friendly. I also appreciated being granted a late check-out, which made my departure day much more comfortable.

The main downside was the condition of some of the furniture. Several pieces showed noticeable wear and tear, and in a few places the surface coating had chipped away, exposing the particle board underneath. This felt somewhat out of place compared to the otherwise well-maintained appearance of the hotel. The luggage rack was also rather small.

Breakfast was decent but not memorable. The selection was mainly international and the overall quality was satisfactory, though not outstanding.

Overall, this is a clean, functional and very well-located hotel for business travellers or anyone planning a short stay in Seoul. If your priorities are convenience, a central location and a quiet night's sleep, it is a solid choice.
