Hyatt House Portland/Beaverton

Visiting our son and his family in Beaverton and selected this Hyatt because of the great location. Fantastic food cart lot a block away, plus many other restaurants within a block or two. Walkable to an open air mall, which has a Powells book store, if you have never been to Powells you must check it out. This Hyatt is clean and friendly. Shout out to the DJ at the front desk. Definitely can recommend staying here.

Very nice establishment in the heart of Beaverton. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Clean and modern hotel, breakfast is very good and free! Light rail is just outside the door and takes you to Portland or the airport.
Highly recommend.

This was my worst experience staying at a Hyatt.

I traveled with my family, including two kids, after a long drive. I arrived about two hours after my expected check-in time, only to find that our room still wasn’t ready. What was most frustrating was that the front desk couldn’t provide any ETA. I was essentially asked to leave, wait, and come back later, with the promise that I would receive a call when the room was ready.

I called the manager, but they were unavailable, which I understand given that it was a weekend, so I left a voicemail. Unfortunately, the manager never followed up or even made a courtesy check-in on Monday. That lack of follow-through was extremely disappointing and reflected poorly on the level of customer service.

The room itself was clean and otherwise OK. However, the Wi-Fi situation was a major issue throughout our entire stay. The TV and guest Wi-Fi were on two different networks, and the guest Wi-Fi did not work properly. This continued for the entire three-day, two-night stay. When I brought it up to the front desk, I was told that they were aware of the problem but didn’t know how to fix it. Multiple guests had apparently complained about the same issue, yet there was no resolution. With two kids, this made an already frustrating stay even more difficult for the entire family.

Parking was another major problem. Parking costs $35 per night, but even after paying, there is no guarantee that you will actually have a parking spot because spaces are not assigned. If you leave the hotel and return to find no available parking, you are essentially on your own to find alternative parking and then work with management to request a refund. Paying for parking should at least guarantee access to parking.

Breakfast was decent, and the staff working at the breakfast counters were friendly, helpful, and probably the only consistently positive part of the stay.

Management eventually sent me 2,500 Hyatt points as compensation for the late check-in. While I appreciate the gesture, the issue was never really about the compensation. It was about how the situation was handled. Problems happen, but what matters is how a hotel communicates with guests, follows up, and takes ownership of those problems.

Unfortunately, this stay fell far short of the level of service I have come to expect from Hyatt. With the check-in issues, unreliable Wi-Fi, parking problems, and lack of follow-up from management, I would not stay at this property again—especially when traveling with kids.

Very nice stay at the Hyatt House Portland / Beaverton, our room was in very good condition, clean, The front desk staff at check-in was very welcoming. Great location and easy walking distance to stores and restaurants.

This has been a wonderful stay, due in large part to the outstanding staff at this Hyatt. I've been here for an extended period under difficult personal circumstances, and the team has consistently gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for. All the staff deserve special recognition for his warmth and flexibility — they made what could have been a stressful stay genuinely manageable. The kitchenette suite has been a real comfort, giving me space to cook and settle in during a long stay away from home. Thank you to everyone here for the kindness and attentiveness you've shown me. Highly recommend this property.

The staff provided a wonderfully warm welcome, the room was impressively spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. To top it off, the breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious.

Hotel location was perfect and Room was spacious. Staff was friendly and stay was good.

Great clean hotel with a decent breakfast spread. Still doing free breakfast for all guests- i know in DC they charge for breakfast now. Room was spacious and clean, front desk was super friendly. Parking is very accessible. Only thing is it’s right next to the railroad so you can hear the trains time to time.

This is my second time staying at Hyatt House in Beaverton. The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to many great coffee spots and restaurants, plus steps away from delicious food trucks. I traveled with family and my dog so the spacious rooms with a kitchen area, makes staying here so easy. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip up!

This is a great hotel option when visiting the Portland area. Its location steps from the TriMet Max light rail allows easy access to the city center and Washington Park. It's a little more than an hour by rail to the airport, which avoids the airport car rental experience; there's an Enterprise lot not far from the Hyatt if car is needed. Rooms are nicely laid out and many include full kitchen, though there are various food options nearby, and the hotel's free breakfast is fine. Very clean and quiet; staff is friendly and helpful; large fitness room. Overall a good experience and a great value.
