reat hotel, very friendly staff, Nice hotel bar with free drink tickets at check in - the hotel was pleasing to the eye and very clean. Had a room on the street side and was not bothered by the noise but the hotel provides ear plugs if that is an issue. The room itself was cozy, had a beautiful shower and comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the bath room waiting in the shower room. Also to note before check in/after check out they will hold your luggage which is very nice. There are also very cool bars on the same block and many more that are close by plus a large vintage mall only a 10 minute walk away.
GREAT experience here. Staff was soo warm and welcoming and the place is impeccably clean. Very cute decor and such a central location right in the middle of the city. Walkable to at least 5 coffee shops. I thought it might be loud but it actually wasn’t at all. This will be my new go to spot.

The location is in a rough neighborhood. Sadly, there are many homeless people wandering the streets. It can feel unsafe. The staff did their utmost to help me when I was uncomfortable. Special staff include: Rally, Rob, Hope and Devin. Portland is very tatoo and piercing forward.
I loved this hotel! My room was delightful - such non-corporate design, really comfortable. The desk staff were responsive, the whole vibe of the hotel was great. I highly recommend.
Hotel Grand Stark was a lovely hotel in a rough neighborhood. Staff was very attentive. They were able to move my room to a quieter side of the building. They were very nice.
The location is great . Cute hotel, clean and one of a kind in the middle of town. Close to downtown ad lots of excellent venue for, walking or mass transit, food and entertainment in the neighborhood near by. The area is a little seedy but for those of us who love the real Portland just fine ( and they take dogs!) Staaf was great around the clock

Our room was set up so it was hard to relax and watch TV. That could be an issue. All they needed to do was turn the bed around and use a wall directly in front of the bed. There was a large weird fabric mural there and a are wall underneath. There may have been a or structural mechanical reason. For many people it could be a game changer Room202. Appreciated the ear plugs as this is a busy part of town on a Saturday night.
Le personnel était vraiment très accueillant, possibilité de laisser les bagages au moment du Check out. La chambre est spacieuse, le lit confortable et la deco tres sympa (ça change pour les US 😬).
L’emplacement est proche du centre ville (3 stations de bus) mais pas de parking sécurisé dans le coin, avec beaucoup de sans abri autour de l’hôtel (sans pour autant qu’ils ne soient agressifs).

Everything was fantastic!!! The room was absolutely perfect, the bed, comforter and pillows were top notch. Very clean and quiet. Staff were super friendly and nice. The lobby was wonderful with tons of REAL plants throughout. I'll definitely be back!!
Super cool hotel. Original wood floors, pull shutters on the windows gave it such a cool vibe. The shower head was epic making for an awesome shower followed up by a super cozy bathrobe to relax in. Super helpful and friendly staff and very clean. And I must say the real plants in the lobby made my heart happy too🥰
The door staff don't get the doors for you they are there to patrol the entry for the homeless.
