This was my second and last place to stay in Kyoto before leaving town. I felt the hotel had a good location and was well connected with trendy neighbourhoods at a walking distance as well as temples, shrines, and other points of interest.
The room itself was good size and modern, spacious and well equipped. I could see Kyoto tower from the window. It had a mini-fridge and a kettle to make tea. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. It was clean.
The staff was okay overall, not the happiest bunch but they were okay to accommodate to a last-minute guest (for an additional cost) and keeping the luggage for few hours.
The room had a strange smell (old musty). Possibly because the carpet that must have just been hoovered. The pillows also smelled strange. I assume they were duck feather pillows and were washed just before checking-in without enough time to ventilate / dry.
Great size room, bigger than we were expecting. Good location too.
Only down side was that it was a frosted window in our room so we couldn't see outside but it didn't spoil our stay.

Everything but the pilows
Pillows are way to hard. Not comfortable to sleep

Carino ed elegante. molto apprezzato il piccolo buffet di pane e brioches e bevande calde. Volendo ci puoi fare anche una colazione leggera prima di partire la mattina.
Camere un pò piccole, anche se comunque in giappone è la normalità e questa era comunque normale e gestibile.
Le personnel est aux petits soins, le bar avec les boissons en self-service, l’établissement très propre et bien tenu, et les chambres sont très belles.
I love everything about the property. The staff is so friendly. They leave our rooms so clean. The property is so close to everything. Honestly, I would definitely book with them again.
