Die Lage war perfekt außerhalb der Touristenhotspots.
Für ein Luxushotel dieser Klasse war das Zimmer unterdurchschnittlich. Es war zwar für venezianische Verhältnisse groß und leidlich modern, also nicht zu plüschig. Die Beschreibung „Designhotel“ ist etwas geschönt. Aber es gab viel zu wenig Stauraum, gerade mal für die Garderobe für wenige Tage. Die Fernbedienung für das TV-Gerät war viel zu kompliziert. Für ein paar Nächte will man sich nicht stundenlang damit beschäftigen müssen. Hauptnachteil des Zimmers war, dass man die Klimaanlage im Zimmer selbst nicht nach Bedarf verstellen konnte. Die Einstellung geht nur über die Rezeption. Für ein 5-Sternehotel ein no go! Als wir kamen, war das Zimmer eiskalt. Die Temperatur wurde dann auf Nachfrage angehoben, blieb dann aber während des ganzen Aufenthalts Tag und Nacht gleich. Völlig indiskutabel war, dass beim Auschecken ungefragt ein Aufschlag von 400 Euro (!) für „employee benefit service Room” auf der Rechnung erschien und man erst auf Nachfrage erfuhr, dass dies freiwillig sei. Ähnliches geschah bei Rechnungen der Hotelbar. Bei Letzterer fühlten wir uns schon über den Tisch gezogen. 2 Gläser Tomatensaft 30 Euro!

The attitude of the reception staff was very disappointing. The receptionist appeared to expect a tip and presented us with an invoice that already included a service charge, claiming that this is “totally normal in the United States.”
However, we are in Europe, and as European citizens we do not consider this practice to be standard. Tips should always be voluntary and based on the quality of the service received, not automatically added or expected.
During our stay, we had already tipped twice: once to the baggage porter and once for the room service. Despite this, when the receptionist presented the invoice with an additional service charge, I asked whether he would have given us the same invoice with tips included even if we had not ordered room service. He replied, “Yes.”
This confirms that the tip was being added automatically, regardless of the services used. We found this approach misleading, unprofessional, and inappropriate. It created an uncomfortable situation and left a very negative impression of the hotel. Guests should never feel pressured into paying additional charges that are presented as mandatory tips, especially when they have already shown their appreciation for the staff by tipping during their stay.
Bistro restaurant food was excellent- and so was the customer service and perfect location
The AC was warmer than we are used to, but everything else was great.

Wir hatten ein Upgrade zur Juniorsuite bekommen aber die war im 3. Stock und hatte leider nur sehr kleine Fenster

Amazing location only 10 minutes from San Marco and 15 minutes to biennale exhibition. But so cozy and quite inside that you don’t feel the tourists’ crowd.

The air conditioning broke on our last night and it was boiling in Venice so we all had a terrible sleep. The hotel refused to offer us any compensation for this night and we were paying over €1000 a night. Incredibly slow breakfast in our last morning as well and service very patchy. I called down for a clothes steamer and they said they’d bring it immediately but they didn’t until I called again the next day. I asked for them to clear dirty glasses from our room twice and they were never collected. Poor communication and not at all slick for the level of hotel it is supposed to be.
Beautiful hotel in a great location
Really lovely room but insufficient storage space and very awkward access to the bathroom. Reception staff did all that they could do mitigate this
All the staff were delightful, in particular the concierge team who made such a difference to our trip with all their help and advice
