We have parking for residents at the rear of the hotel, which can be accessed from Friary Lane. Turn into North Square from the High Street, then first right into Friary Lane and the car park is on the right.

A beautiful hotel situated in the centre of Dorchester. Ideal for visiting family . Great that there is a large free carpark. A fridge was a great touch. Two chairs in the room. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

I loved the hotel itself. Coaching Inn which had been renovated in recent years. Beautiful interior and decor. Staff were very welcoming - dealt with Miriam on arrival and she went out of her way to be helpful. I loved the room I was allocated. Really spacious and I loved the little bar area. Loved the radio too - very soothing. It was so big and comfortable and had 2 fans to cool it down. Loved the decor and the shutters too. So very comfortable. I had a meal in the bar in the evening and it was good value for money and very good. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly including the bar staff. I would love to stay here again. Highly recommended. The best place I have stayed in for a long time.
My only suggestion is to have an anti slip mat in the shower. Perhaps there was one but I missed it.

Nothing I didn’t like
The location, room, bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace were perfect for me, and my experience was enhanced by the very welcoming, attentive and efficient staff.
From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The staff allowed us to leave our bags before we hah checked in and after we checked out.
Our room was lovely, especially the bathroom. All staff were friendly and happy. It was a real pleasure to stay.
We had a evening meal the following evening, our compliments to the chef, it was delicious!

I am so pleased I picked this hotel, it was easy to find, the staff were welcoming, the room was clean and spacious, it had everything I needed, the food was amazing, I only ate dinner there but plenty of choice on the menu. I would definitely book again
