Thank you The King's Arms for a wonderful stay!
Pros:

The breakfast was great each morning. I tried something different daily.

Cons:

The outdoor dining area / courtyard could have been better maintained. Despite the wet weather, I would have sat outside more.

Excellent room, service and food
Pros:

We've stayed at other hotels in the Stay Original group previously and The King's Arms didn't disappoint. Characterful and tastefully decorated rooms, impeccable service (a special mention to Carmel for answering all our pre-stay enquiries so quickly) and a wonderful breakfast and dinner.

Well located with some parking. Accommodation not best value for money
Pros:

An old hotel with the rooms tastefully renovated and decorated. Unusual and welcome air conditioning in our room and a good pressure shower. Room clean and tidy, only criticism is it had steps from the bed area to the bathroom which could easily be lit as a safety feature during the night. Even though I was conscious they were there, because it was dark I inadvertently stepped on the corner tripping down them.
Good bar area albeit we were charged 2 different amounts for exactly the same round of drinks and the barmaid was not knowledgeable about drinks.
Dining and breakfast was good.
Service generally friendly and a good atmosphere.
Overall, thought the accommodation was relatively expensive.

Tolles Zimmer, nettes Personal
Pros:

Our stay at the King's Arms
Pros:

This was the second time that my wife and I have stayed at the King’s arms and this time we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded. The restaurant food is of good quality and reasonably priced but we felt that the DBB food allowance at £40 per room rather miserly as it doesn’t really cover two main courses these days. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient. The hotel is centrally located in Dorchester near the excellent museum/art gallery and bus stops with regular services to Weymouth, Poundbury and no doubt many other places.

A fabulous hotel in the centre of a lovely historic town.
Pros:

Fabulous period building. Beautiful rooms, which were spotlessly clean. All the staff were smart, courteous and efficient. Parking was excellent and the food was as good as you’d expect in a good restaurant. Absolutely everything was excellent.

Cons:

I could not fault anything.

Pros:

Great location and amenities. Tasty breakfast and friendly staff. The bed was so comfortable!!

Cons:

I was put in a room where i had to go up and down flights of stairs to reach it in addition to an elevator. The sink water came out only scalding. Despite that really enjoyed my stay.
