We booked two rooms and both had cold water for showering and its winter! We advised the Duty Manager of the problem the first morning and she confirmed it would get it fixed. When we returned to the room that evening, we found the plumber working in the rooms! (18h00 - which was not acceptable). We were asked to wait downstairs until the plumber was finished, which was about an hour (ridiculous!). We were then told that this was an issue that needed further attention and requested to use room 9's bathroom which was open. So, in the morning we had to run up and down the corridor for a shower and guess what? Again, the water was lukewarm! There is definitely a problem with hot water!! The cherry on the cake was at breakfast when they wanted to charge us for an addition cup of tea. So, just so you are aware you are only entitled to one cup of coffee or tea at breakfast, otherwise you pay an additional charge. The rooms need some maintenance - window handles nearly falling off and the light switch in the room as very loose. Housekeeping and Duty Managers should be doing checks on things like this... I was also advised that the Manager was going to give me a call... but still waiting!!

Booked the property for work but the room i stayed in was not set up for work purposes

The noise. Possibly my timing was bad, the hotel was extremely noisy renovations, while I understand that could not be avoided, I do not understand why the contractor would come as early as 6am, make noise, laughing and talking, that was a huge distraction of sleep.

I got scammed! Placed in a room I didn’t book after I called to confirm availability of room prior to making the booking all because of international tourists. I expressed my dissatisfaction upon checking in and was told manager has been informed and will be in contact. I have never heard from them to date, no apology no nothing! I have a recording of my telephone conversation. Was just stuck in a small room, no hot water, milk or even bottled water!!! Oh! I was offered a bottle of wine by reception because seemingly alcohol is what South Africans need to forget the misery we get subjected to. The lack of ethics, customer service and accountability from management team left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will never recommend this place! A simple phone call prior to changing my booking and option to decide if I want to proceed in light of change in rooms would have gone a long way!

Some light building work during the day, but not a massive issue as we were out exploring the city most of the time. Other than that, a brilliant hotel and would highly recommend!

No cupboards

Property is being renovated, floors untiled and I noticed some small cockroaches. There is no study desk, the shower tiles have grime. However, I hope that once renovations are completed the hotel will be beautiful.

Website says Deluxe Room which should be 1 room Deluxe Double Room should be 2 separate rooms where family stay and share a kitchen and bathroom.

Mother and Daughter shared a double bed and that spoilt the stay.
