Pros:

We enjoyed being able to eat at the Pub and not leave for the evening. Every staff member we met were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Pros:

Outside was nice and inside was clean. Bed was comfortable but we couldn't get the temperature right in the room.

Cons:

Lady at the front desk was sort of sullen and curt. The morning guy was nice. Our supper was ok but not up to the price we paid. The corned beef was dry and tasteless and the red cabbage was old. Breakfast was ok but pancakes were tough and chewy. Scones were good.

Pretty on the inside

Cons:

There was an awful odor in the hotel and especially our room. Even upon unpacking at home my clothes carried that odor. Didn’t care for the loud music or the pub

Pros:

We really didn't eat breakfast but the food was a step above the normal fare.

Cons:

Our floor had an area that said guest laundry, but there was none. Our swims suits never dried and there was nothing we could do about it.

Charming Irish stay — clean rooms, 10/10 breakfast
Pros:

The Irish Cottage Inn & Suites did a great job making it feel like you were in Ireland — the theming really set the mood. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a 10/10 with great quality and selection. I also loved the amenities: the library, pool, hot tub, and fitness room were all a nice bonus and well kept. Overall a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Cons:

The only issue during my stay was with the front desk. Staff rarely greeted us when we came in or out of the hotel and were very quiet. A simple hello or welcome would have gone a long way in making the atmosphere feel more friendly and inviting. Everything else was excellent, but that small touch of hospitality was missing.

Pros:

We didn't eat breakfast. We usually eat 1 to 2 hours after being on the road. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Cons:

The bathroom needs to be set up for handicap people. The chair in the shower was helpful, but my husband had troubles stepping over into the tub. There are no grab bars in the shower. The toilet needed to be taller. There needed to be a grab bar by the toilet.

Would certainly recommend this place to anyone who wanted to stay in Galena
Pros:

Enjoy the Irish flavor of the hotel – – E scones and tea in the afternoon, the Irish pub the Iris style of the building and the friendly and helpful staff.

Pros:

A wonderful experience all around. Clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and plentiful with fresh fruit, juices, coffee. A coffee bar was available all day. We give a 10 out of 10!
Highly recommend.

Cons:

Air conditioner was blowing the curtains at night and directed the air poorly.
