We arrived at this hotel around midnight after a very long journey, expecting to finally rest after having travelled for hours. We had made our reservation months in advance, so naturally we had absolutely no reason to think that there could be any problem with our room.

Instead, when we arrived, we were told by the receptionist that the hotel was completely full and that there had been an overbooking. In other words, despite having a confirmed reservation, there was simply no room available for us.

What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of empathy and professionalism shown by the person at the reception. Rather than showing any concern for two guests who had just arrived in the middle of the night after a long journey, we were essentially told that we should find another hotel ourselves.

This is completely unacceptable. How can a hotel leave guests who booked months in advance without a room and expect them to solve the problem themselves at midnight, in an unfamiliar town and after a long journey? At that time of night, we genuinely thought we might end up having nowhere to sleep.

Cons:

We were eventually forced to look for another hotel at the very last minute. The only accommodation we could find nearby was of extremely poor quality and very high price, and this completely ruined our arrival and our experience.

The entire situation was extremely stressful and caused us considerable anxiety and impossibilty to sleep. An overbooking can happen, but what matters is how a hotel deals with its own mistake. In this case, we saw absolutely no sense of responsibility, empathy or genuine effort to help us. They refused also to compensate us for the problem they created.

Leaving guests stranded in the middle of the night because of an overbooking is simply unacceptable.

If you are considering booking this hotel, be aware that even with a reservation made months in advance, you may arrive and discover that there is no room for you. We certainly would not risk staying here again.

A truly shameful experience. Stay away.

Rezeption war überraschend unfreundlich, Frühstückspersonal zu wenig: Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt, Buffet schlecht nachgefüllt. Frühstück war bare Minimum und sehr lieblos. Bahnhofsdurchsagen waren trotz geschlossener Fenster zu hören im Zimmer, das nachtkästcheb mehr als eine Handlänge vim Bett entfernt, Milchglas vom Bett direkt in die Dusche ohne Möglichkeit zu verdunkeln

Gerne wieder!
Pros:

Gegenüber dem Hauptbahnhof gelegen. Üblicher Komfort von Intercity-Hotels, sehr freundlicher Empfang, sauber, gutes Frühstück. Alle unsere Ziele haben wir zu Fuß erreicht. Im Bahnhof kann man bis 23.00 Uhr Lebensmittel einkaufen.
