Property is very nice and rooms are spacious

Cons:

I paid for ocean view and got side view to the ocean. It was not as indicated on the pictures.
The swimming pool is small and crowded.
Waiters at the restaurant are very rude and asking for higher tips and if you dont give them they will laugh ironicaly and make faces at you for giving them tip that they think is small for example I gave 5$ and it was not enough.

Parking vallet is the most expensive I have ever seen in my life. For two days I paid 190$ and noone ever pointed this out when I arrived.

Really enjoyed our 5 days and would definitely stay there again.
Pros:

Location, friendly staff at reception, valet, by the pool. Food was yummy at breakfast and in the lounge bar.
Good housekeeping and great views.

Lovely atmospheric Hotel - I stayed in the Ocean Tower and loved it!
Pros:

Had a lovely short stay at a new for me property. There on business. Mateo at the front desk went out of his way to make my short stay special! I ate in the lobby loung and the food was delicious. The meeting staff did a great job with both the food and supporting our small meeting. If you have a small meeting you would like in a great hotel, this could be really nice. Downside is that all the meeting rooms are in the basement, meaning no natural light - maybe be sure your breaks and meals are topside in natural light.

Beautiful hotel with top notch staff
Pros:

I loved just about everything! Really lovely facilities and staff was so accommodating and professional. Attention to detail from staff that began even before we arrived. Good dining options onsite and also appreciated full service salon since I needed hair and makeup done for a wedding. Lots of storage in bedroom as well as in sitting room. Happy to see nespresso pixie for in room coffee (although not all have them, some have Kurig). Nice surprise to find fruit and chocolates waiting in room at check in!

Cons:

Breakfast potatoes at Fig are too spicy. Keep them spice free and let folks add at the table. Toilet flush was a bit loud. Also lack of storage in bathroom. Would be easy to add a small chest of drawers under sink.

100% recommended for everyone who wants a fantastic welcoming stay.
Pros:

We have 1 more night here at this Fairmont property in Santa Monica.
The staff is so welcoming,friendly and professional, we feel like family and royalty at the same time.
The atmosphere has such a nice vibe and when entering the lobby one never knows what staff member you may encounter.
While waiting for my husband in the lobby the head chef Joseph "Cook"" (yes that's his real name) inquired about our stay and genuinely interested about our food experience. The night before when we dined at the authentic Sushi restaurant (Brian our waiter was attentive and engaging) we missed out on the famous Miso ice cream as it had not yet completed the setting process. He immediately ran to the kitchen and brought us two scoops and it was delicious!
Rooms are clean, spacious, and service is second to none.
Location perfect with easy access to Ocean Drive and beautiful views.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
Looking forward to returning soon.

Room with a view
Pros:

Great location and common areas. A bit of everything so convenient. Fun ambiance and accessable by foot for great restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

The room we got in the tower, and supposedly we got an upgrade, was not as nice as it looks on the pictures. definitely could use a bit of love. Views were spectacular.

A Perfect Escape
Pros:

Booked the bungalows for a girl’s trip and it completely delivered. Private, gorgeous, and the kind of place that makes everyone feel like they’re getting away with something. Great vibes, incredible service!! 10/10 would do it again!!

Great hotel, wonderful staff!
Pros:

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Fairmont Marimar. Hotel itself is great anyway but what made our stay wonderful was the staff. We went there for a special occasion and the reception team was incredibly helpful in making our time memorable.

We would 100% come back, and thanks again for the brilliant team at the hotel!
