Gutes Hotel mit Charme, aber in die Jahre gekommen
Pros:

Das Hotel hat eine super Lager, direkt in der Stadt. Die Hotellobby ist schön und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Hinter dem Hotel verläuft eine Eisenbahnlinie. Wir schliefen im 6.OG so dass wir die Züge in der Nacht gehört haben. Das Hotel selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, versprüht jedoch immer noch Charme. Ich würde es nicht unbedingt als 5 Sternehotel deklarieren.

Disappointing
Pros:

I will say, the robes, the products by Le Labo, and spa, were the best part of the experience.

Cons:

We came back to the Fairmont after 8 years and the hotel is drastically changed - not for the better, I'm afraid. What used to be an old-time allure is now transformed into a generic modern bar-like space that is not child friendly. The huge buffet, that had once surprised and delighted us, is now stripped to a bare minimum. It had honestly been why we came back. The breakfast at the restaurant was a la carte and mediocre. I had a very frustrating time with my waiters because I asked them to bring my teabag out of my tea, so I could decide how much water to add, and they misunderstood me twice. So I didn't have tea. All in all, it was way worse than my experience at the airport Marriot. It was disappointing.
I hated not being able to speak to someone at the lobby too. It's fine if you have automation for some things, but terribly frustrating for most. What a hotel should provide is a sense of care and connection, not robotifying and decreased quality.

Very luxorious, you do everything for a nice experience but it still is an old building.
Pros:

What I did not realy like was the overall smell( old carpets, especially in the mezzanine corridor and old backgroud cigarette smell, as well as the smell of mold in the bathroom after a shower.
I loved the luxory of marble, the wonderful smell of the soap, the feather pillows, the comfort of the matress was the best! Thanks!

The tiny gym, you suffocate underground!,,

Loved the Gold upgrade!
Pros:

We upgraded to the gold level after having a sleepless night listening to the trains. Our Good room was phenomenal and so were the staff!!

Top hotel with 5 star staff.
Pros:

Everything.
Staff were very friendly and fixed an issue promptly

Beautiful property, but as always, for any business, their biggest asset is the friendly professional and helpful staff.

Cons:

Our room wasn't what was advertised and it smelt a bit mouldy, but we were moved to a lovely room within 30 minutes

We hoped to book a few massages but no appointments were available.

Wonderful!
Pros:

The room was fabulous and the location was perfect. One street away from a major road closed for pedestrians.

Cons:

I would have appreciated an additional dining option within the hotel. While the dining room menu may appeal to many guests, it offered limited choices for those who prefer simpler fare.

The best place to stay in Calgary.
Pros:

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean. Breakfast selection was varied on all the 4 days. We forgot medication and another personal items and they happily sent them to our next destination. Thank you so much.

Nachtlärm hängt von Zimmerauswahl ab
Cons:

Die Zimmer, welche sich gegen die Zuggleise ausrichten, haben den Grossteil der Nacht signifikante Lärmemissionem, weil die Fenster schlecht isoliert sind und die Güterzüge die ganze Nacht fahren.

Das ist nicht OK, dass diese Zimmer gleich viel kosten und der Kunde nicht darauf hingewiesen wird
