The property location was great, shame about the roadworks outside and small car park. We had to detour around Harrogate to park on the street behind as the car park was fully booked well in advance of us staying. You did provide a parking permit however for £5, so better than nothing.
The bar is great and the executive room we had was very spacious.
Unfortunately there was some fault with the fire alarms, so we were woken up at 4am to evacuate the building. There was no sign of a fire warden out the back of the hotel and when we found people out the front, there was still no updates or communication from a fire warden as to what was happening. We ended up sitting out in the cold for an hour while the fire brigade checked the property. Upon check out, we just had a small apology and the excuse was ‘it needs fixing’.

The area was great.
The bathroom spa tub was odd and dangerous. No step inside the tub to use so very deep to step into and no grab rail to hold onto.

It is very central next to Valley Gardens
The room we had was supposed to be an executive room but the only think executive was the bathroom as it was modern. The bath was a strange deep square which made it a very deep step into the shower which was over the bath.

As i was there for main purpose of attending meetings in town centre it was very convenient
Facilities were as expected . I guess depends on what you expect. For a smallish hotel it was reasonable
There was nothing I disliked . Would have to pay a lot more for a more luxurious hotel in that place
The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meal was really nice.
The bar staff sat in front of the bar on 4 seats this was intimidating and made it difficult to get to the bar. Our bedroom door rattled and fell insecure. I wasn’t the only one that questioned why on check out I wasn’t being charged for my breakfast. If it’s not included it should be made clear on check in.
The location is fantastic with the added bonus of car parking which must be booked in advance
Great value for rmoney and the Orchid restaurant within the hotel is superb - one of the main reasons we elected to stay here.
Didn't have breakfast since Betty's is a short walk away, so can't comment on that.
The ability to reserve a car parking space is nice, but the car park is small so we had to park on the street.
We got a space very nearby and the parking voucher from the hotel is better value than using the parking meters.
