Blue Liberdade Hotel

10/10. Beautiful hotel conveniently located in the heart of Lisbon. Easy walking distance to several main attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. I paid for a room with a balcony overlooking the square. Loved the full height windows in my room. Enjoyed the daily breakfast. Highly recommend Blue Liberdade!

Outstanding hotel. Can understand how have such high ratings. Great location in heart of everything.
Friendly and helpful staff always on hand with a smile. Immaculate rooms that are well looked after, great shower and comfortable bed, fridge in room, good AC but also loads of lovely little touches such as pastries in reception, complimentary mini bar etc. Really added to our stay and couldn’t recommend enough!
Great value too both for what paid vs what got and found Lisbon in general reasonable.
Metro stop right at door and train station over the road so very well connected for transport too.
(Didn’t eat it but restaurant under it solidly queued up and looks amazing for seafood) Clearly has a good name judging on how popular it is!

- The location is hard to beat. It's a great base for exploring the historic centre on foot, there's a metro station right outside the hotel, and the train station is just across the street.
- Before our stay, we sent the hotel our room preferences, and the staff replied quickly and did their best to accommodate our request. Throughout our stay they were always friendly, attentive, and happy to help.
- The room had everything we needed, and having complimentary water replaced every day was a nice touch.
- The complimentary pastéis de nata and cold water at reception were a lovely surprise after walking around the city in the summer heat.

Our family of four stayed here. First, the location is excellent; it's within walking distance of all the attractions in Lisbon, and the train stations to surrounding cities are very close by, making it extremely convenient. Second, the hotel has all the basic facilities we need. Third, the hotel staff are professional, respectful of guests' privacy, and maintain a friendly attitude. We would definitely stay here again.

Super bem localizado, em cima do melhor restaurante de Lisboa, o hotel é bem moderno, aconchegante, com vários mimos como café, água, pastel de nata e até espumante disponíveis na recepção. Fomos recebidos com 2 garrafas de água no quarto, e na saída uma cartinha de agradecimento com uma mini de vinho do Porto, o que foi muito simpático. ❤️ O café da manhã também é caprichado e tem um ótimo custo benefício, como o hotel em geral. Merecia 4 estrelas. Só fico lá quando vou a Lisboa.

Location and cleaning

The location was perfect. Our room was clean and comfortable and fit 4 of us which is great. Large ish bathrooms. I have no complaints. Super happy with it.

My son and I were at this lovely boutique hotel from 24/7 to 31/7 July. I stayed in a classic interior room, small and no view to speak of (although this wasn't a problem). The room was exceptionally clean, with crisp white bedding, and an equally clean stylish bathroom, complimentary robes, an easy to use ‘rain’ shower, hairdryer, a variety of towels, not forgetting the personal touch complimentaries in the room and the reception area. The rooms were cleaned every day.
Also, the AC was manageable and the black out curtains really effective. Noise control was also very good (one of my reasons for choosing this Hotel) once the windows were closed. Mostly very quiet, apart from the occasional closing of door(s) close by but never disturbed by this!

The Hotel’s in a wonderful location, with easy access to all modes of transport and tour facilities, eateries. Definitely recommend a trip to Belem, an historic district with striking monuments, including the Belem Tower and delightful walks along the riverside. We went on the tour-bus, approx. 40 mins – tickets cost 22 Euros each and valid for 24 hours.

It’s a BIG thumbs up for the staff, everyone I dealt with was so helpful and friendly, a truly unique feature of this boutique Hotel, which shares the building with a seafood restaurant, tables at the front of the Hotel. One thing though, didn’t really like seeing the lobsters in the glass tank, poor crammed things waiting for the inevitable, would prefer this food source was out of view.

Hasten to add this does not detract from our amazin week in beautiful Lisbon at the stylish and comfortable Blue Liberdade. We would most definitely stay here again, maybe a room with a view next time !
