Amazing location, service and beautiful week in New York
Pros:

We have spent an amazing week in New York. This hotel is amazing - we liked service, attention to details, staff. Separate plus on top of all above is location. Breakfast very good, just I would recommend purchasing it on site, not online. Comfortable bed. We also had beautiful view from our 9 floor room. Hotel very nicely decorated and has Broadway scenes all over.

Cons:

Very very strange shower set up. The shower head is attached on the vertical wall and is quite high... so if you need to wash anything you will be washed all over. And there is no decent protection wall so every time you take full body shower your bathroom floor will be soaking wet. Also we had to be quite creative to find where to hang our clothes. And nothing above had spoiled our amazing week. I do recommend this hotel besides these small inconvenience,

Great, would recommend the hotel to friends and family and would definitely return. Friendly staff and good amenities.

Super locatie, in het theaterdistrict. Goede uitvalsbasis om New York te verkennen. Vlakbij metro.
Knusse en stijlvolle kamer.
Sommige mensen noemen het ontbijt beperkt, maar ik vond het prima. Diverse verse broodjes, yoghurt, fruit, koffie, thee jus d’orange.
Vriendelijk personeel, heel goed en snel bereikbaar via Whatsapp.

Cons:

De kamer was echt heel erg klein. Bijna geen ruimte om iets neer te zetten of op te hangen. Dus echt uit je koffer leven.

We would like to thank the entire team at the Civilian Hotel for making our stay in New York truly exceptional.
From the very beginning, everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. We had a small issue with our rooms on the first day, but David and Nick, were absolutely wonderful. David in particular went above and beyond to help us change rooms and make sure everything was taken care of. Thanks to them, the rest of our stay was simply perfect.

We then went to Washington for a few days and returned to the Civilian Hotel afterwards. Coming back was such a lovely surprise: knowing that it was our anniversary, the team had left beautiful messages for us on the mirrors in our room. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that really touched us.
Everything about our stay was wonderful — the breakfast, the entrance, the reception, the atmosphere, and above all the people. We truly felt welcomed and cared for.
Thank you to the entire Civilian team for making our New York trip and our anniversary so special. ❤️
We will definitely return to New York with great pleasure, and if we do, we will absolutely stay at the Civilian again.

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
Pros:

Hotel has a great location in Manhattan, very close to multiple tube stations. Our room was on floor 18 with a great view to the city especially at night. The staff were always helpful and happy to answer any of our questions. Rosevale Cocktail Bar is also not to be missed, the ambient was great and there was a wide variety of drinks to choose from (+live jazz on certain nights).

Cons:

Not a major issue but thought breakfast options were slightly limited, however what was available was good.
