The location was great. I went to Houston to attend the Rodeo and this hotel was directly across the street.
The hotel is outdated. Shower head was corroded, stains on the comforter sets, pain peeling off walls, stains on the walls and curtains. The hallways were very dark and gloomy. My kids were scared so we only stayed 1 night. They charged $40 to park and the room was $199 for 1 night. Not worth it!
Prácticamente nada
Es viejo falta mantenimiento área social muy deteriorado mal olor no tiene fácil acceso
It was walking distance from NRG stadium.
It was outdated, elevators did not work, toilet did not flush well, the shower had very little water pressure. We had bugs on the bedsheets which were replaced when we reported it.
The location was ideal since we were attending the Bruno Mars concert.
This was a very old hotel that needs extensive renovations. One f the two elevators was out of order. Also I was not happy that I had to pay a parking fee in their lot for the day of the concert. We were staying for two nights and should not have to pay for that. Also the free breakfast on the Friday morning was not good at all. Just some scrambled eggs and sausage and bread for toast. There was no other choice. I asked for some jelly for my toast and she said she didn’t have any and didn’t even try to look for any n the kitchen. No milk or cereal or yogurt or fruit. They didn’t have many guests checked in yet so they really scrimped on the breakfast that morning.
Very disappointed in that aspect.

Everything, it was nasty and old. The sheets there nasty and the tub was nasty.
The location. Friendly staff .
Breakfast was boring. Same Breakfast menu for years now.
Poor wifi .
Rooms smells stale. Air freshners should be used to freshen up the rooms.
Rugs in the rooms are old
Close to NRG Center with reasonable price.
Gate is only at neighbor hotel.
Convenient location
The tub has been painted carpet looks as if it could be changed. Mattress could be changed out. One of the exit doors was not launching correctly.
Location!!
It’s a little bit outdated, broken doors and elevator and smells really old. For a location so close to a humongous stadium that sells out frequently, therefore the hotel is sold out frequently too, they could do something about the facilities.
The breakfast was so-so…but then again, it’s American breakfast, so it was expected beforehand.
My stay at the Wingate Houston near NRG Park/Medical Center was a terrible experience overall. The one positive was the staff: they were friendly, and one gentleman kindly helped me find the rusty gate where I could exit the property and walk toward NRG Center. Unfortunately, that detail also captures the larger problem. Walking in Houston is difficult under the best circumstances, but having to navigate derelict fencing and a rusty gate just to reach a nearby venue made the hotel feel poorly maintained and poorly suited to pedestrians. I appreciated the staff member’s help, but I would not recommend this hotel.
The hotel is run down: the elevators did not work, the pavement was cracked, and the property felt poorly maintained. The “free” breakfast consisted of toast, warmed-up scrambled eggs, a few yogurt containers, and the smallest cup of coffee I have seen at a hotel. I had to switch rooms because there was minimal hot water, and the shower in the second room had a loose bathtub liner, as if a shell had been placed over an old tub and was pulling away, leaving a pocket of air underneath. Even the location was inconvenient: the hotel sits on a feeder road near a busy highway, with backed-up traffic waiting to get on the highway
