Overall very enjoyable stay in meticulously run hotel, extremely polite and friendly staff.
Pros:

Very good breakfast, comprehensive menu which included excellent omelettes freshly prepared, nice range of fresh breads, and good coffee.

Cons:

Very nice dinners, especially good fish including sea bass and good beef and lamb. Only disappointment was very skimpy pavlova on one occasion.

Pros:

Hotel perfetto sotto ogni punto di vista. Personale gentilissimo e professionale, disponibile per ogni necessità. L'albergo ( un ottimo recupero di archeologia urbana ) è in posizione eccezionale che permette l'accesso agevolato sia al 14° piano - reception (all'altezza superiore del ponte di ferro Luis I) sia al 1° piano (uscita all'altezza del fiume Douro). Superato il ponte hai tutto quello più importante da vedere senza usare mezzi pubblici. Ottimo roof top con servizio bar, sdraio e divani, mini piscina e vista sul ponte.
Noi avevamo due camere con vista panoramica incredibile, ad un prezzo per la stagione adeguato. Non abbiamo provato colazione e cena. Check in e check out veloci, ottimo parcheggio (meglio se con auto non troppo voluminose) con accesso diretto alle camere.

The place to be für eine Reise nach Porto und Umgebung.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar!

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind zwar groß und dennoch hätte man sich mehr Platz im Kleiderschrank oder mehr Ablageflächen im Badezimmer gewünscht. Für einen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt war es irgendwie wenig.

Die Lage ist perfekt! Unbedingt Zimmer mit Ausblick auf den Douro buchen
Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam.
Auch kleine Dinge, wie jeden Tag frisches Wasser auf dem Zimmer, machten den Aufenthalt für uns perfekt!
