This is a must-stay hotel if you want a charming spot in the historic district!

This hotel is charming in a historic building with a perfect location in the historic central district of Guadalajara. The front desk and cleaning staff were outstanding. They provided excellent service, went above and beyond, were friendly, and professional. I was very impressed with how clean our room was every day. The AC was strong, and the TV had hundreds of channels. Wifi was also strong. The view of the plaza below was pretty. The location cannot be beat! Easy access to the trains, buses, markets, etc!

I stayed at Six Hotel Guadalajara Degollado for one night (June 24–25, 2026) while visiting Guadalajara for the World Cup. The hotel has a great location in downtown, very close to the FIFA Fan Fest, and the property was very clean. The room and the general facilities were good.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my experience at checkout was very disappointing because of the way the situation was handled by the front desk employee.

My father, who is 86 years old, went to the front desk around 12:50 p.m. to politely ask if we could have a few extra minutes because we were finishing the process of buying airline tickets for our return to Florida. The employee was not welcoming and repeatedly stated that checkout was actually at 12:00 p.m. and that even one minute after 1:00 p.m. would result in a charge of 325 Mexican pesos.

The issue was that our reservation through the booking platform clearly showed a checkout time of 1:00 p.m. We were not asking for hours — only approximately 15–20 extra minutes. I have traveled many places and have never experienced this type of reaction over such a small request.

I left the room around 1:10 p.m. and continued finishing my travel arrangements in a small waiting area on the second floor before going downstairs. The employee refused to provide her name and did not provide a direct way to contact the manager. When I asked if I could speak with the manager later, she did not offer a solution. The situation became so uncomfortable that local police came to help mediate, but in the end nothing happened and no charge was made.

I hope the owner or general manager sees this review and contacts me, because I believe the hotel has potential and the location is excellent, but customer service at the front desk is a very important part of the guest experience. A simple polite conversation and a little flexibility would have completely changed this situation.

Perfect location for the World Cup Fanfest! In the middle of all the action and great staff!

This place was great. I was in Guadalajara for the World Cup. The location was perfect because it was in the middle of the Fanfest. I can see where the noise can be unappealing for some but if you know what you're getting into then it won't be an issue. The staff was all super friendly and the property was very clean. I will definitely stay there again when I return.
