If you're attending a concert at Shoreline it's a great location. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking was easy.
The bed is a bit hard (personal preference) and it's a pricey stay when you include dinner at Rogers, but overall I'd recommend it!
I found the entire staff that we came into contact with to be friendly and helpful. Even the cleaning staff igreated you and helped make room to get passsed their charts. After I bought breakfast from downstairs and the staff helped by getting me a tray to carry it up to my husband, someone came out from behind the check in desk to help me get into the elevator because my hands were full. As I approach my room and was trying to figure out how to get the door open a maid saw me and asked if she could open the door to help me out.
We received a text welcoming us and asked if we needed anything, I thought we could use a microwave to heat up my husband heating pad for his bad back. I was surprised there was not one already in the room. I texted in my request and was assured one would be on its way and shortly thereafter a knock on the door with a staff member and a microwave. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and if I happen to attend another concert in town or find another reason to be in Mountain View my first option will be staying here again.
I was a little disappointed that my ADA room was at the furthest point possible from the elevator. I was impressed with the room itself and the extra room in the shower which even came with a chair.
The meals were phenomenal, the staff of all areas were amazing and really friendly.
I've travelled extensively in the US in my previous roles, but this is was my first time travelling to SF and what could've been an amazing first experience, turned into a a pretty terrible one, because of the apathy of Ameswell front desk staff. The receptionist was an absolute nightmare. My flight landed early and I reached the hotel at 9AM - 2 hours prior to my expected early arrival time (for which I'd also requested early arrival). I told her that I've just deplaned an 18 hour flight so could use some rest. She looked me dead in the eye and said, the room is ready but she'll only give me the keys at 3PM. I asked her about early checkin fee, and she told me that an entire day's tariff would be the charge. The fact that the receptionist was also not wearing her name tag, made it even worse as it seemed like SOP for her. What could have been a great experience, was turned sour by their crew's absolute apathy in face of a tired guest.
I was there for 3 days, other than the horrendous front desk staff, most people were great and incredibly professional. The bartenders were amazing, the housekeeping staff were great. They're the ones making it a 3-star experience, what was otherwise a 0-star reception.
Lovely facility with incredibly comfortable and well thought out surroundings. It is very easy to be as engaged and interactive (or not) as you need. For business travel - really nice place to be.
1) Self park at $20/night seems steep and could use an elevator as if the hotel is busy, you are using steps to get to the second floor. I'm all for healthy but with bags that's a little unpleasant.
2) I paid with points so I can not directly speak to cost for this trip, but previous trip booked was on par with expectation for price.
Room was amazing and spotless. Noise level was negligible in or outside. And staff was lovely.
What an amazing property nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley! The luxury experience spills over into every area of The Ameswell. The outside space in and around the pool area is just marvellous and has a wonderfully intimate feel. The staff are welcoming and friendly, always greeting you with a smile. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for lounging and relaxing. The attention to detail is apparent everywhere you look.
great staff, restaurant, spacious/clean/lovely rooms with everything you need. great self help counter with snacks and drinks. the grounds are perfect for walking the dog.
nothing
Wonderful hotel with exceptional services and a great restaurant, grab and go and gym and pool. I had a room on the 5th floor and it was quiet and super clean with lovely linens, towels and bathrobes. Two areas of suggested improvement would be the in room coffee set up, there was delicious coffee available in the lobby in the early morning, and I prefer a bar soap with no fragrance over the standard liquid soap dispensers. A wonderful stay and I will be returning on my next tip to California! Well done!
