Not especially the standard one would expect for four/five stars
Pros:

The room was spacious with a fairly well appointed kitchenette. The indoor pool area is lovely (beware the outdoor pools were not open in May, nor the rooftop bar). Great views. 15 bus took you from just outside hotel to Riva area in about 15mins for €2.

Cons:

Conspicuous lack of attention to detail for a 4/5* hotel, a lot of it surrounding cleanliness. For example, our toddler's cot had a mattress which was stained with urine (presumably) from the previous occupant. The fabric dining chairs in our room (and in the restaurant) do not appear to have been cleaned in some time, nor the curtains. The local sparrows would fly into the breakfast room looking for food (can't blame them - they seemed to like the cherry strudel the best). However, no attempt was made by the staff to prevent them entering nor to cover the food, nor remove food that had been hopped on and pecked at by several birds. The staff kept on propping open an external door which let them in. On our first morning, I shooed the only sparrow out and shut said door only for a staff member to open it in a couple of minutes. When complaining about this to the concierge the only response was 'they were fighting nature'. I've been to jungle lodges who manage it..
Other small attention to detail stuff - left a complimentary bottle of wine (lovely gesture). It has a cork and the room doesn't have a corkscrew. Reception couldn't be less interested in arranging for one so took the bottle to the barman who obliged. At breakfast, there was no cold milk near the tea/coffee machines for tea drinkers and the single two litre carafe near the cereal was often empty and staff hadn't noticed despite restocking other items. Housekeeping didn't vacuum the room for the four nights we were there. Sofa bed sagged under the weight of a four year old.
Overall, I would judge that the hotel is mostly used by large tours groups for a night or two's stay at most so don't have to keep standards up.

Peut mieux faire.
Pros:

La piscine intérieure était agréable, le personnel du spa, très sympa.
La proximité de la plage.
La taille de l'appartement 2 chambres était parfaite.
La literie était top.
La plage a été rénovée , des bars/ restaurants et boutiques sont en cours d'ouverture.

Cons:

Le quartier n'est pas beau. Les barres d'immeubles tout autour sont affreuses.
La chambre ( les murs) nous ont donné une très mauvaise impression dès l'arrivée.
Pistaches trouvées sur le tapis de la chambre et sur la terrasse, du client précédent...
Brosse des toilettes couverte de papier toilette séché ...du client précédent.
La lumière principale dans notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas, internet non plus.
Couverture tachée sur le lit.
Pas de mini-bar dans la chambre ni de bouteille d'eau de courtoisie.
Bref, propreté plus que limite pour un 5 étoiles.
Restaurant qui ressemble à une cantine, avec peu d'atmosphère mais de la musique techno/ électronique au petit-dej et au dîner.
Des bus entier de touristes qui sont logés à l'hôtel et donc pas de place au petit-déjeuner pour notre dernier matin. Le serveur à l'entrée nous a dit: alors asseyez- vous devant l'entrée du restaurant ( le lobby)

Decent hotel , what let it down was facilities being closed and at times some (not all staff) seem disinterested in help
Pros:

Good location, very nice bars /restaurant’s on beach. Old town walkable and uber cheap to get in and out

Cons:

Rooftop pools full but not open. Pools by spa empty but seating area open. Also refused drink at bar at 10.45 pm which is not late when everywhere else still open.

Le petit déjeuner un buffet de roi.

Lovely facilities but room was too hot to sleep.
Pros:

The swimming pool was lovely and spacious with a lovely spa area. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Bed was very large and comfortable.

Cons:

Our en suite bathroom had underfloor heating up so high it was like a sauna and you couldn't step directly onto the floor. It made the bedroom uncomfortably hot so I could not sleep well. We could not change the temperature of the bathroom.
