The bed was very comfortable and the evening meal was quality. The staff very friendly. Appreciated the ground floor room as easy for the dogs and my husband can’t manage stairs. It is perfectly accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. However where it is situated comes with noise issues particularly early morning due to golfers getting their trolleys from the storage area snd their cars on carpark. Not good when we needed sleep for an onward 6 hour journey. However its a golfers dream place to stay.
Not the place to stay for us but i get that it’ a premier place to stay for golfers and can see why. Thats why you can charge the excessive prices which for us was not much more than a pub with rooms. Because of the price i was expecting much much more, my mistake but i was comparing my expectations with where we have stayed over the last 19 days where we have paid much less than here and stayed 2 nights and had a much greater choice at breakfast which included a continental buffet.Some of those places we stayed we scored 10’s. Also this is the only stay we have been charged for our dogs. £20 each dog for 1 night ! Thats excessive and i can assure you there is no trace in our room that we had 2 dogs with us.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The food was good. We particularly enjoyed the steak night.
Some areas could do with refurbishment. It would have been good to have a safe and a fridge in our room.

The dispensers in the bathroom shower didn't work as would have been clear to anyone who tried them. Toilet rolls not replaced. Wet, used towels hung up on rack to be used again.

Lovely breakfast and great location
The bathroom was lovely but the towel rail was at the other end of the room from the wash hand basin and the finish around the wash hand basin was unfinished which was shame because the bathroom was beautiful

An exceptional location. What a gem! We will return just so we can stay at this property again. The staff was phenomenal and so were our accommodations. Never ate anywhere else in town as the food was so great here!
