A pleasant hotel with good potential, but it needs better maintenance and a stronger breakfast offer
Pros:

It is very positive that the tap water is drinkable, at least according to the reception staff. This is definitely appreciated.

The breakfast room has a pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast buffet tries to follow the style of better hotels, but the selection is still quite limited. On the positive side, it was very nice to see fresh green salad, cucumbers, beetroot and a wide selection of olives available for breakfast. This was also a good presentation of local food.

I personally avoid cold cuts, so I did not try the local processed meats. There were also boiled eggs and scrambled eggs available. The juices looked far too sweet, so I did not try them either. They also offer tea, both sweetened and unsweetened; the unsweetened tea was an excellent alternative to coffee.

The sweet corner was more a display of ready-made jams than a real local dessert selection. I missed having more local cheeses and more fresh fruit. Overall, the food was acceptable, but in my opinion it does not fully reflect the standard expected from a 4-star hotel.

Cons:

At first impression, the room looks very nice, well designed and thoughtfully arranged. As a construction professional and experienced traveller, I would especially like to point out the good solution for access to the air-conditioning unit, which is practical and well considered.

However, the quality of execution should be improved, or at least better supervised. In the bathroom, the ceramic tiles were not properly grouted, or the grouting was done carelessly. This is not only an aesthetic issue, but also a hygiene concern, as poorly finished joints can retain moisture and dirt. Because the tiles were not grouted with the correct material, salts appear to be coming through from underneath, creating white stains on the ceramic surface. This does not match the standard expected from a hotel of this level.

The same applies to the wooden doors and especially the door frames. The wood itself looks very good and of high quality, but water and moisture from the bathroom and entrance area seem to be affecting the wooden parts. Better detailing, protection and quality control during execution would significantly improve the durability and overall impression of the rooms.

Het was een fijn verblijf, hier komen we zeker terug.
Pros:

Het personeel was heel erg vriendelijk, zowel aan de receptie als bij de parking. Het was een heel leuk verblijf, wij hadden een appartement gekregen vlak bij het zwembad. We hadden er uitzicht op. Dus dat was echt wel fijn.

Het is een rustige buurt, vooral een plek waar gewone families komen dus je voelt je hier heel erg veilig en comfortabel.

De kamer was netjes, bedden goed opgemaakt. Tv's aanwezig in kamers en woonkamer. Ook airco werkte prima.

Je kon bij het zwembad gebruik maken van ligstoelen en er was ook een bar aanwezig waar je drankjes of ijsjes kon bestellen.

In het restaurant kon je zowel ontbijten, lunchen als avondeten.

Het domein is ook volledig omringt dus de kans dat je buitenstaanders tegenkomt is miniem. Vanaf 22u is het ook heel rustig, er is echt volledig de kans om tot rust te komen.

Het zwembad was ook heel netjes onderhouden, zowel als de tuin rondom de appartementen. Er is een speeltuin voor kindjes en een soort fitness. Hier komen we zeker terug als we nog eens in Ifrane zijn!

Cons:

Het is spijtig dat er zo weinig onderhoud is binnen in de apartementen zelf.

Onze schuifdeuren gingen niet op slot zowel van de kamer een kant als in de woonkamer. Telkens als we buiten gingen konden dus mensen van de residentie het schuifraam openen. Gelukkig is het een afgelegen, beveiligde plek en is het er veilig dus is er niks gebeurd. Maar in een hoogseizoen weet ik het natuurlijk niet.

In het appartement ben je eigenlijk niks met de kookspullen. Het is allemaal heel vuil en kapot. (Pannen, theepot, snijplank, oven, ....) En vrijwel niks is compleet. Hier mag beter op gecontroleerd worden. Het glas van onze oven zat ook los. Het kuispersoneel moet niet enkel denken aan de netheid vd kamers maar ook de leefruimtes. Hier kan ook altijd een cleaning fee voor gevraagd worden.

De kamers worden ook gecontroleerd bij check out dus ik snap niet hoe zulke zaken over het oog worden gezien. Ik vind het vooral jammer voor de ruimtes want je kan zien dat het ooit wel echt luxues en verzorgd was.
