Very fun and colorful. The custom soap details were a nice touch. The staff was nice. The speakeasy bar was a fun touch too!
The carpet and other surfaces in our room were visibly dirty. I think the person who cleaned our room missed a couple items on their checklist. The suitcase stand was missing a screw. The pool area was nice, but the fun paint details on the ground in that area could use a touch up.
De plek aan de route
Personeel niet zo enthousiast, de oudere man bij vertrek was heel aardig
Clean and comfortable. Great value. Would stay again.
Great funky design.
Having paid about $145 a night for our stay, I was surprised to be informed on arrival, there was parking and amenities as extras. This equates to about $24 a night. Apparently the amenities include, the dressing gown, swimming pool and free popsicles. The pool you cannot use for a morning swim before 10am?? There is a bar on site and unfortunately for both nights of our stay we woken up by people returning to their rooms worse for the wear. Additionally the cleanliness of the bathroom and behind the beds and tv area needs addressing. The bed is not comfortable. I did challenge the extra charges on arrival but was informed it was clear on booking.com. To me it is not, I can see they charge for parking(why?) but I cannot see the amenities charge. I was told someone from management would contact me to address my concerns, but they did not, so felt compelled to write this review so others can see what the actual cost of their booking will be.
Fantastic stay on route 66, lots of additional perks and the staff were fantastic throughout, we will definitely be back when we are next in the area.
Good vibes speakeasy was sooo fun drinks were delicious.
The floors for our room were really dirty as if they had not been cleaned and the shower floors as well.
Cute property overall. Speakeasy and staff at speakeasy were wonderful. Speakeasy was definitely the highlight of the property and the reason I rated as high as I did. Pool was a good temperature.
Property needs A LOT of maintenance. The chairs at pool area need cleaning as well as the pool itself. We had to use skimmer to clean the pool ourselves. There was only 1 pool float- a second had a leak. Paint is peeling almost everywhere (pics on site must have been taken when everything was fresh and new) and decals on walls need refreshing. The place has great potential but needs some TLC. My biggest issue was this: the first room we were assigned had a wet carpet. I stepped on it in socks and my socks became wet and dirty. I called office about it and the woman said she had to call housekeeping, they probably cleaned the carpet without informing her. She hung up without telling me, then texted me a new room # after asking if we had put anything on the beds already, used any toiletries or towels, etc. There was a movie screen at the pool in a state of disrepair and no movies were showing until June. That was definitely not in the property description.
Well, it’s woman-owned and Asian owned and designed and decorated by a mother-daughter team. The decor is kitschy, in that beat-deals-on-Amazon way — giraffes and bananas and plastic chandeliers hung at eye level. Kids and teens might find it novel and attractive. The bed is comfortable, the television large. It is close to several casual dining establishments. Why not stay here? The room smells like vinegar; the neighborhood is quite sketchy; parking is extra (with a 50% chance of scoring a space); the desk personnel seem confused by financial transactions; the office doesn’t open until 8:30 am. It seems other motels could offer better for less money.
Cheerful, colorful, clean.
Nothing.
La piscine , la deco et l’idée du contexte de l’hôtel
J’attend encore le remboursement de ma caution
It was clean. The speakeasy was cool.
The parking is tiny, so it is very hard to secure a parking even though you paid for it. It is actually a motel not a hotel.
The staff and ambiance as well as the location
Nothing
Avoid Hotel ZAZZ at all costs. This place is a complete scam disguised as a hotel. They will nickel-and-dime you with extra charges, then hide behind their policies when you question it. Management is rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
The rooms are filthy — dust everywhere, dirty towels, dead bugs, and AC that barely functions. When these issues are brought up, staff becomes defensive instead of fixing the problem.
The location is also terrible. The area feels unsafe, there’s constant homeless activity around the property, and they even charge guests to park on-site.
For the price they charge, the experience is embarrassing. Save your money, your time, and the headache. There are far better places to stay.
Very unique
