I req for luggage down. But it took me 20min to wait. But overall is good.

Always a pleasant stay
It was my 4th time in Kingsford and checked in at past 9pm, i have booked for Superior Queen Room for 3 nights with my wife but the frontdesk have put us to a room where AC and TV remote is not working, too humid and with the damp smell, we have contacted the frontdesk and a maintenance guy come to our room, he was checking something but it did not help, he was redirecting only the flow of air just for us to feel a little bit colder, i have requested for a room transfer but then i have been told that it could only be done at 3pm on the following day-maybe because it was late at about 11-nish in the evening, so our first night was disappointing and sleep is poor. And I even came from Newcastle with about 18 hour long flight and badly needed that rest.
The following day at about 5pm we were transferred to a room in the same level and it was okay.
My questions are:
1. How come the frontdesk didnt know that the AC in that room is not working?
2. Why are guests denied a room transfer when the hotel fails to provide the service paid for? -that is just unfair.
Despite these inconveniences, I may still consider staying here for future work-related travels, but I hope management addresses these operational flaws.
Room was a little small, but it is okay for one night. I like the water pressure on the shower, the hardbess of the was just right, I like a bit of a hard bed. The sataff were very accomodating and friendly both at the restaurant and the reception.
I somosa at the resto - dissapointing. It did not have the indian spices I am used to. It was just eating bread with peas and potatoes.
Quiet, clean and I have a nice sleep in my room. Service people are gracious. The location is closed to the airport and there are malls nearby.
