Hyatt Place Colorado Springs Downtown

Convenient location, secure entrance, staff was very helpful in accommodating my last minute reservation and an early check-in due to cancellation at another hotel.

Great hotel in downtown Colorado Springs. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Easy valet parking. Walkable to downtown restaurants and nightlife!

Pros:
Nice rooms are kept up. Housekeeping daily straightens beds and takes out trash. Clean. Pool and exercise room well kept. Friendly front desk staff that are helpful.
Cons:
-Where to check in is a nightmare! You have to go to the second floor to do so, but how do you get there?! I didn't even know you had to go to the second floor. There was no mention of it in the app or arrival emails.
-Breakfast is fair at best. Minimal protein options (including only CHICKEN sausage??). Expect more for the price.
-Location is a bit sketchy located across from a hub for the city busses with questionable people around. Pretty sure our kids were exposed to some drug activity. Not impressed without having this knowledge.

-Noise level: it is downtown so you are exposed to some traffic noises late at night.
-Value: par hotel not quite worth the price in my opinion

Just across the street from the old courthouse. Lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Valet parking is $32 a night- we opted for street parking at a meter right outside. It cost us $10 for about 5 hours and it’s free from 8pm until 8 am.
The room was spacious and very clean. Good sized bathroom with a lot of counter space. Spacious shower with the best water pressure we’ve had in any hotel in our travels. Our only complaint about the bathroom is that there is no exhaust fan to help remove the steam from the shower- just a passive vent. The bathroom mirror is well lit. There is adequate hanging space in the closet and a room safe. The room AC was quiet and powerful. Both nightstands had both power and USB outlets.
They serve a continental breakfast with breads rolls bagels juices and a few hot selections- oatmeal eggs sausage and potatoes. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Updated, clean, and comfortable downtown hotel. The rooms were quite nice, and I loved that the showers had strong water pressure. Breakfast was average but had everything we needed. Parking at the street meters in front of the hotel was cheap and safe. Easy walk just one block to shop and eat.

Very disappointing stay. The problems weren’t isolated—they kept happening. From a room phone that never worked and inconsistent housekeeping to an unexpectedly closed restaurant and an unstaffed front desk, the lack of service was frustrating. What bothered me most was that no one took ownership or even asked about my experience at checkout.

One of best breakfasts in these types of hotels. Location is amazing. Everything is clean and updated. Under building parking is unique and convenient. Very safe with key access required to get in from street level.

Location to the hospital

Awesome hotel, great staff, amazing breakfast. My kids enjoyed themselves during their short trip for a lacrosse tournament. My husband and I overheard an exchange between an angry, insufferable customer and the staff and the staff handled it with absolute professionalism and calm. Everyone was wonderful and wished my son luck and asked how his games went.
