Newbridge on Usk

This was a special treat arranged for my nephew & niece in-law's 'grown-up' joint 40th birthday celebration - they were over the moon as had never been here before, and loved the location; so calming and beautiful. Their feedback was that upon arrival everyone was so helpful and personable, check-in a breeze and their room was absolutely amazing. Wow!! - they had their champagne spoil on the terrace overlooking the water - which was I am told sooo delicious and then we met up with them in the evening for a private dining experience in the restaurant.

Important to mention that their grandmother of 90 years attended the evening meal, and felt so very comfortable here with everything she needed easy accessible - only a couple of steps which had grab rails which was so helpful and gave her lots of confidence.

Our 'private room' had wonderful ambience and was the perfect setting for us all to celebrate, chatter and enjoy our special time together. Marius and his team provided such a happy, professional but friendly, and relaxed dining experience, the food was out of this world and hats off to the chef(s) as each course was a pure joy to the palette, and everyone enjoyed everything on their plates.

Thank you Marius so very much for making the whole experience so personal from the booking to the event, you are simply the best; we hope to visit again soon, maybe a taster menu event, or another family celebration - it was a fantastic time and thank you for you for everything.

The location is nice and peaceful which suited us for our celebration of 6 people.The food at dinner was delicious and presented beautifully, served by friendly staff.The rooms were spacious and welcoming.Good choice of breakfast foods suitable for everyone.

It has a great location right above the river. Plenty of parking. A lovely terrace to enjoy drinks and the main building has old world charm. The food was excellent even if we hadn’t realised that the Sunday evening dinner menu would be restricted to the Sunday roast. The manager was flexible in offering us a ground floor room given our allocated top floor room was very hot indeed given the heatwave.

Happy heron room - bed was extremely comfortable, nothing other than a bit of sealant needed fixing, staff were lovely, breakfast was fantastic- no complaints :)

We visited for a joint Father’s Day and birthday, well polished service, very friendly welcome. Wonderful location on the banks of the river Usk, very good food, well priced and served with panache. Well cooked food, attention to detail and better than many places in the local area, well priced will be back. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️

We stayed for 2 nights. The location by a bridge on the river Usk is perfect. Most things were perfect.
Positives :
Comfortable double bed and duvet
well stocked coffee and tea bar
Excellent food at dinner in the evening, worthy of a michelin star
Service from alex and marius, on point
Negatives :
we opted for the option with breakfast included. we were a little disappointed to find on arrival that this was only continental breakfast and not hot food. No where was this small detail mentioned on booking.com and we feel this is a major lapsus and very misleading.
The water in our shower (perch) did not evacuate but stayed in the foot tray. the cold tap on the basin did not work and made a loud noise when opened . Shower gel and shampoo could have been more generous for a 2 day stay for 2 people.
Overall a very nice stay , with very good food but needs a full english breakfast addition.

A beautiful, cut off location in the countryside with quality food, personable service and a luxury feeling room. We felt looked after from the start, comfortable and relaxed throughout our weekend. The staff understood our dietary requirements and were attentive to that throughout our stay so we did not have to repeat ourselves.

Such a lovely place. Rooms and restaurant very clean. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

All the staff were very friendly, professional and they really knew their job. The food was excellent and the dinner I had was the best vegan meal I've had since I went vegan 5 years ago!
The room was comfy with a gorgeous bathroom.

This spot is just gorgeous, the service from the staff was impeccable, they made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. The room was well equipped and great value for money. It felt like a real treat! Oh, and the food.... INSANELY GOOD!!!!
