The lack of an outdoor pool was disappointing. Minor room issues were a bit annoying. The lack of consideration for a Bonvoy status guest who could not access the lounge was downright disheartening.
Dinner at Cipriana, however, was truly outstanding. Exceptional service and delicious food in a stylish room made for a genuinely special experience.
I was genuinely looking forward to this stay, having had consistently strong experiences across several Ritz-Carlton properties. As a Bonvoy member and loyal guest, I came in with high expectations.
We were visiting to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and while the room was nicely prepared, that was unfortunately the highlight of our stay.
The spa was adequate, but unremarkable. More concerning, however, was the shared use of the gym between hotel guests and building residents. What began as a simple question to another individual about a yoga mat escalated unexpectedly. The individual became confrontational, emphasizing that he was a resident, and his behavior quickly turned aggressive—not just toward me, but others in the space.
The situation escalated to the point where I felt unsafe. Security was called, and in their presence, the individual made a statement to the effect of, “I will have my bodyguards remove you from my country.” Given the nature of that comment, I expressed to security that I considered it a threat and requested that the matter be escalated appropriately.
What was most disappointing was the response from hotel management. Rather than prioritizing the safety and comfort of hotel guests, the situation appeared to be handled in a way that deferred to the resident, despite the behavior that had occurred. The lack of a decisive and guest-focused response was deeply concerning.
Lastly, the Ritz Carlton advised that it would give me a call - to no avail!
Great service, beautiful and spacious rooms and spectacular city views. Everything was perfect .
The view from the balcony is spectacular!
This hotel elevators are a maze. I had to change 3 sets of elevators to get to my 43 floor room! Its ridiculous and confusing. The price for room is ridiculous for a mediocre room!
The building is shared by SAP office goers who frequently stare at you. The restaurant is over priced and mediocre again. Not the Ritz Carlton style at all
El personal y las instalaciones
No están aisladas las habitaciones del exterior y toda la circulación de vehículos no permite dormir . Peor si dan al parque.
Excellent location, exceptional service, comfortable room and great facilities
Lots of elevators
Lovely staff; great location; clean spacious suite;
Had a fabulous driver , Noe , who showed us around and was the quintessential professional and gentleman
Housekeeping very kind and efficient
Food at breakfast (in room) was mediocre. Chia dish was ok.
Weak coffee
Phone broke down . Hassle, but they fixed later
Great location. Amazing views. Very secure. Great people.
Bit silly but when we had room service the salt cellar was empty and the bottom was missing. Tiny little error. Otherwise would be a 10
_location is practical, edge of Reforma, facing the park... this is is also a negative, as it get very loud from traffic, at all times, even on 50+ floors.. not a great sleep.
_ rooms were rushed, poor details and lack of continuous care; service is slow, communication between service teams is poor, even w/ pre-arrival email confirmations you'd end up having to start all over again once you get there...
_breakfast was bland, lame, not good.
_dinner was good at Samos, tho a bit too "extra", overkill with the presentation.
_ gym is very good; pool is ok, 3 ft, small, and area not well taken care off
_besides the bellmen, service was sub-par, perhaps the worst RC experience globally as of now. Switched back to St Regis after a couple of days to "save the trip"; will stick to 4S, St Regis, Sofitel for future stays.
From the moment you arrive, this hotel delivers a sense of understated grandeur that feels both international and deeply connected to Mexico City. The setting above Chapultepec Park creates a rare feeling of space in CDMX — waking up to sweeping views of the park and skyline is simply unforgettable. Floor-to-ceiling windows turn every sunrise and sunset into a private spectacle.
The rooms are elegant, serene, and thoughtfully designed. Neutral tones, refined materials, and impeccable detailing create a residential yet elevated atmosphere. The bathroom experience deserves its own mention — spacious, beautifully finished, and perfectly lit. Everything feels intentional and polished.
Service is where this property truly excels. Warm, intuitive, and gracious without being overbearing. The team anticipates needs effortlessly and handles every interaction with genuine hospitality. You feel recognized, not processed.
The spa and indoor pool area offer a tranquil escape from the city’s vibrant energy, while dining is equally impressive — beautifully presented dishes, strong technique, and a setting that matches the culinary ambition.
What stands out most is the balance: it feels luxurious without being ostentatious, sophisticated without losing warmth. A true urban sanctuary in the heart of Mexico City.
A flawless stay and absolutely one of the finest luxury experiences.
Overall, this Ritz Carlton was disappointing. Staff training was inconsistent—particularly at the front desk, among hostesses, and with servers. Bellhops, doormen, and in-room dining staff were very good. What we found unacceptable were the dirty windows (see attached picture). Additionally, the sink and shower were not functioning properly—doesn't anyone check these things? The room was rather small and substandard relative to five-star properties of this caliber. The food was fresh and acceptable but quite bland.
The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We particularly appreciate the maître d’s hospitality, Pedro. He was classy and helpful. I like the area where the hotel is situated. It is safe with police always patrolling the area. The dinner at the restaurant is great. I love hanging out at the Cipriani bar for drinks. I would definitely return next year and stay at the Ritz. My overall experience is 9/10.
