Great location near Takayama Old Town.
Pros:

Very lovely old machiya made comfortable
Pros:

The hotel was so pretty and comfortable, it was very cool that it's in an old machiya with a very nice lounge that guests can relax in and access tea/coffee and just chill. The staff were very helpful and helped to make dinner reservations and other enquiries too. The bookable private baths were clean and relaxing, with good amenities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable too! There was also a laundry room with a washer and dryer and provided washing liquid that was super convenient.

Cons:

The check-in process is very slow when it comes to a big group because it all has to follow a specific online process, where there is only one iPad to check in on. In addition, it should have been clear to me on hindsight that a machiya would not have lifts, so just someting to bear in mind. The staff were very helpful and helped to bring suitcases up and down the steps however. Location was quite far from the main station/bus terminal if you have a lot of luggage, but it means it was also halfway to the old town, which was nice.

Bien ubicado, muy nuevo, personal muy atento.

Cons:

No hay ascensor si te toca una habitación en la planta 2 y se oyen mucho los ruidos en el edificio.

Pros:

The most hi-tech toilet we've had during the whole trip, haha. Everything is great, the beds are comfortable, it's clean, friendly staff, lounge area with tea and coffee available. Located very close to the morning market, and the town in general is small and everything is like 15 min walk. One of the best hotels.

Cons:

2 hooks at the entrance to the room would have made our life better: one for the keys, and one for bags/coat.

An excellent choice for anyone looking for a place close to the station and near to the old town. You can’t go wrong.

Excellent staff and location
Pros:

The staff were amazing, special thanks to Sara who went over and beyond. The accommodation was traditional Japanese and super homely. Thank you, you made our stay in Takayama memorable.

Cons:

The only thing i’d say was a room on the upper floor would be better due to noise .
