Modern, Well Located Hotel
Pros:

This hotel is very well located. It is within the Old Port neighborhood and across the street from the water. It is down at the end of the touristy area, which means that it is much quieter and easier to get to than the hotels closer to the core. Even so, it is less than a 10 minute walk to restaurants such as Luke's Lobster, so it is still very central. The hotel is very modern and clean, and our room was huge. I love that it had a mini fridge and a massive shower. Another amenity I appreciated is the mini-market off the lobby where guests could purchase snacks 24/7. We stayed in two different rooms, one at the start, and one at the end of the trip. The initial room was a standard King Room, which looked directly onto the condo complex next door. We thus ended up keeping our shades closed the entire time, resulting in a room that felt a little dark. The second room was a King Room with a Water View, and this room was amazing! The windows were a little smaller but we had a fantastic panoramic view of the water from our top-floor room.

Cons:

The rooms in this hotel do not have a door between the bathroom and bedroom. There is only a dividing wall that doesn't go all the way to the ceiling, with the bed on one side and the sink on the other. Thus, the light and sound from the bathroom seep into the bedroom if one person is still trying to sleep. Not ideal. Also, I feel like not having a rooftop bar at this hotel is a missed opportunity, considering the several other hotels nearby that have them. Lastly, parking onsite is expensive and limited (but they were able to recommend a less expensive lot 2 blocks away).

Great location, great stay.
Pros:

Very nice room, very comfortable beds. We got in really late but the guys checking us in made us feel so welcome and helped us find parking. It was in a good location and there was a shuttle to take you around the city which was nice.

Cons:

All was good.

A modern design hotel that is welcoming and helpful for the first-time traveler.
Pros:

From the first welcome at the Reception Desk, to my final shuttle service to the Transportation Center, the Aloft was a great experience overall. The bar WXYZ is amazing -- Chris was a phenomenal bartender -- with the rare ability to remember who you were all week, so affable and introduced other clients to each other: so there was always great conversation and comity. Ask him for his Portland List of Best Places to eat -- fantastic. Seth too, so welcoming in all ways. The location is perfect -- walkable or very easy rides to all points of interest. Just a ten minute walk to the island ferries. Great selection of restaurants in the area and a wide choice of fare. There is something for everyone; family town, but a great location for singles, couples, of all stripes. Mark, the driver of the Shuttle service was so kind, and informative. The staff was always ready with any questions. A very positive trip for me. Saw old friends and made new ones. I will be back.

Cons:

The room was comfortable and clean, but the water pressure is quite low (I guess they are conserving, so that's a good thing). Room service was only every other day, but that was fine. My bathroom sockets weren't working, but there were outlets in the main room for hairdryer, steamer, etc. I wish they had some firmer pillows! But I slept well. Very quiet. The Re:Fuel Breakfast and Food court is a bit pricey. A good selection. Hotels now do a scan and select service. Best to order your meals or snacks and then pick them up. Parking is very problematic apparently (from other guests I talked to), and its all self-parking.

Great place, location and perks.
Pros:

The best thing was Mark - the van driver. He greeted us in the lobby and said, - if you need a ride let me know. It was pouring out and he did just that!!! What a perk!
And the breakfast / hang out area / little store was perfect !

Cons:

I couldn't get our room into AC mode

I loved the lobby and the corner bench seating.

Cons:

I didn't like that the TV is cut off from view in the bathroom. Made it hard to watch a show while getting ready to go out. I also thought the shower was SO SMALL compared to how big the bathroom actually was. We requested our room get cleans (trash emptied, floor swept) and they never came which was disappointing. I also thought the water pressure was terrible

Great hotel for waterfront fun!
Pros:

The hotel was perfect location! Close to great restaurants! Enjoyed the waterfront! Aloft was a fun hotel, loved the lobby and room was new and spacious. All of the surrounding buildings are newly renovated so view from room was pleasant. The parking garage was a plus!

Cons:

Everything was great and definitely will recommend and stay again.
