Stanly Ranch, Auberge Collection

My family and I stayed here in room 6 (a "Deluxe Cottage, 1 King Bed") for two nights in July 2026.

Positives:
• The property itself is about as close to perfect as it gets. Everything still feels new, and both the rooms and grounds are beautifully done. The whole resort has an idyllic quality that makes it very easy to settle in and not particularly want to leave.
• The staff went above and beyond in a way I have rarely experienced at a luxury resort. During our stay, our 11-year-old son was at a camp a couple of hours away that had to be evacuated because of a wildfire. We collected him in the middle of the night without any of his belongings. The next morning, the resort experience director, Hannah, went out and bought him a pair of swim trunks so he could enjoy the pool and we would not have to spend part of our day shopping for him. Nobody had to do that. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture at a stressful moment for our family, and one we will not forget.
• The food was excellent. We enjoyed meals at Bear as well as room service on our outdoor patio, which had its own gas fireplace. Sitting outside by the fire and having dinner brought to the room was a pretty good argument for staying put rather than venturing back out into Napa.
• The resort was surprisingly inviting for kids. There were activities like juice tasting and pizza making, and the enormous main pool was genuinely welcoming to families. Stanly Ranch manages the difficult trick of feeling like a sophisticated luxury resort without making parents feel as though their children are merely being tolerated.
• Complimentary valet parking was a small but appreciated touch. At a property of this caliber, I have become accustomed to discovering another substantial parking charge waiting at the end of the stay. Not having one was refreshing.
• Even the handling of a very minor problem demonstrated the level of service here. I had a small WiFi issue and messaged reception to get it resolved. It amounted to a few minutes of inconvenience and I thought nothing more of it. At checkout, the staff insisted on giving me a $100 credit for the trouble. It was completely unnecessary, but also perfectly representative of our experience. That almost other-worldly level of service is what makes me want not only to return to Stanly Ranch, but to start working my way through the rest of the Auberge portfolio.

Negatives:
• The only complaint I can muster is the rooms were a tad small, but that was made particularly challenging by our son's surprise appearance. The resort brought in another rollaway bed for him (we had two total) without so much as a fuss.

10/10 - We have stayed at alot of 5 star properties, Stanly Ranch is second to none. The staff, dining, and ammenities were all amazing!

Absolutely beautiful spaces full of warm, helpful staff. We brought out two babies and had a fabulous time exploring, lounging, and entertaining. Best sap in Napa, terrific food on site, and gorgeous views from every angle.

Our recent stay at Stanley Ranch was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with an attentiveness that struck the perfect balance of warm and effortless. Every interaction reflected a level of hospitality that made the entire experience feel truly special.

The property itself is beautifully curated, from the stunning grounds to the thoughtfully designed rooms. Every detail feels intentional, creating an atmosphere that's both luxurious and incredibly relaxing. We only stayed for one night, but it left us wishing we had booked a much longer visit.

The spa is absolute perfection. We spent time by the pool, where the atmosphere was just right: relaxed, elegant, and exactly what you hope for in Napa. Dinner at The Bear was outstanding, with incredible food and impeccable service that made for a memorable evening.

The next morning, we grabbed lattes from Gavel and paired it with a Loveski bagel—a fantastic collaboration and the ideal way to end our stay.

Stanley Ranch delivers an experience that's thoughtful in every way. The service was impeccable throughout, and if we could live there, we absolutely would. We can't wait to return.

Stanly Ranch might my favorite hotel on mainland USA. Our room (rambler king suite) was spacious and extremely comfortable. The people here are SO friendly! The whole campus is just beautiful and appealing. We loved the trails for walking/running/biking. It is so close to downtown Napa and is so easy to enjoy that charming city. I love that we were able to get our rooms cool enough for a good night's sleep. The atmosphere at Stanly Ranch is what every hotel should have. So personable and perfect. (Apparently I never clicked "submit" on this back in November.)

As a local wedding planner, I've had the opportunity to stay at Stanly Ranch several times, and it's a place I'll continue coming back to. The property is absolutely beautiful, incredibly peaceful, and the staff consistently provide exceptional service. Every stay has been wonderful, and I never get tired of visiting. It's always one of my top recommendations for anyone planning a trip to Napa!

Location was incredible and staff was great. Breathtaking grounds and incredible staff, shout out to Francis who made us welcome from day one. First impression was a 10 out of 10.

Due to a busy few months and personal matters, it has taken me a while to share this review, but the exceptional experience we had for my birthday stay in April was certainly not forgotten! If you are from this area and are seeking a world-class luxury sanctuary in Northern California—offering all the privacy, serenity, and pampering of a far-off retreat without the hassle of a long flight—this is truly it.

We stayed at the Terrace Villa, and it was remarkably beautiful and luxurious. This was our second time staying in the villa. As someone with severe allergies, I was especially grateful that the Ranch offers dedicated pet-free accommodations—it is wonderful that guests with health sensitivities can enjoy such a stunning property with total peace of mind.

- The Grounds, Spa & Sanctuary Setting: The property itself is breathtaking. The grounds are thoughtfully designed, allowing for peaceful walks through beautifully manicured, elevated ranch-style surroundings set against rolling vineyard backdrops. The spa and pool areas are immaculate and stunning, perfectly complementing the resort's high-end feel. Throughout the property, you’ll find numerous private, cozy seating areas equipped with warm fire pits and fireplaces, making it effortless to pause, unwind, and soak in the still air. It provides an exceptionally peaceful and calm environment for a serene stay, which is precisely why it is my intent to return in the coming weeks to regroup and find healing after many personal challenges these past months.

A Few Highlights & Team Members Who Made Our Stay Unforgettable:

- Warm Arrival: Jacob, the Guest Services Manager, set a wonderful tone upon our arrival, and Veronica handled our check-in and check-out with impressive professionalism and charm. The Ranch Hands were also consistently polite and helpful.

- Exceptional Management & Itinerary Planning: The Ranch offers a wonderful Itinerary Design service. Paul Guerrero, Stanly Ranch Itinerary Designer, worked together with Morgan, Operations Manager, Vineyard Homes & Villas and our primary contact, to ensure all the needs I presented were met. They put in an amazing, thoughtful effort to address my many allergy needs—ensuring everything down to the Villa toiletries aligned with my health requirements, and pleasantly providing delicious replacements for food and beverage items I wouldn't typically consume.

- Villa Leadership & Detail: Morgan truly went above and beyond. Beyond her meticulous coordination with Paul, she ensured the execution of proper pest management for the property so that we encountered zero bugs inside or in the Villa’s lounging patio areas. She further took time out of her busy workday to give us a tour of the Sky Villa for a potential future stay and handled every detail seamlessly.

- Attentive Dining & Culinary Excellence: Dining was fantastic throughout. Max, Food and Beverage Manager, provided amazing support and presence across our dining experiences. Dinner was exceptional—the peppercorn-crusted short rib served alongside delicious sides was a true highlight of the stay (as pictured). When there was a minor kitchen communication oversight regarding floral sensitivities on the initial birthday cake, Morgan and Max worked together to resolve it quickly and seamlessly. Fortunately, Morgan had proactively sourced a backup chocolate cake beforehand, ensuring our celebration remained completely stress-free. Ralin and Caesar were incredibly attentive hospitality staff. Carlos, Dining Manager, was very pleasant and welcoming, supporting a wonderful breakfast experience—including their delicious waffle topped with cinnamon sugar, salted dulce de leche, and fresh blackberries, which was an absolute delight, alongside the best charcuterie tray I’ve had so far!

- Operations & Service: Seeing Julio, Hospitality Manager, personally oversee turn-down service showed just how much care goes into operations here.

To anyone I have failed to mention by name here, or titles I may have misstated, I extend my warm apologies, as we had a wonderfully pleasant experience with everyone we met throughout this stay.

The team's service and attention to detail were second to none and truly the best I have experienced in the hotel industry so far. The genuine quality of the food, accommodations, and service made this a true 10/10 stay. A sincere thank you to George and the entire team for creating such a safe, celebrated, and serene environment. We look forward to returning!

We had an amazing time during our 4th of July stay! Our room was ready early! The kids caught the falconry when we arrived, they fed the chickens before having lunch at Bear. We spent most of the afternoon at the kiddie pool! We were the last ones to leave. Service poolside was great! We had ice cream and ordered dinner poolside. The kids enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit at our room. Loved the teddy bear, robe and slippers they had for the kids. The cafe was convenient for an afternoon pick me up and breakfast. Shuttle and bike service was great since it's such a big property.

This is a 10/10 property from comfort, to effortless luxury, the quality of food and beverage - highly recommend! Luxury Redefined

Had such a great time earlier in the year that we had to come back again. Each time is a better experience from the last and we have never had a bad experience yet. Resort is beautiful and service is elite. Olivia at check-in makes sure everything is taken care of prior to arrival and is an amazing point of contact throughout the stay. Change nothing about Stanly Ranch, it is one of our favorite Auberge resorts to stay.

Truly, the most incredible experience from a comfort and spa experience getaway. The food on the property and the hotel staff is just unbelievable.

Our absolute favorite hotel in Napa/Sonoma. From our arrival to our departure, everything was seamless. Even with two kids the visit felt relaxing and peaceful! The staff was all incredibly attentive and kind- we are already planning our trip back! Spa was wonderful as was Bear the restaurant.

We had an amazing stay! The Napa airport is only 10 min away if you do the Jet Suite X. Breakfast at Bear was excellent. Didn't love the dinner menu. Their bar is so beautiful. All the decor is so thoughtful and simple. My favorite part of the hotel is how environmentally friendly they are! There's a refillable water station inside the coffee shop! No plastic bottles, even the spa had tin cups and refillable water spouts, no plastic!

The resort is top notch and we had a great time. Ignore anything negative anyone says about prior ownership and fear that engenders about the quality of the property. It’s nonsense.

The grounds were immaculate , service and food were perfect and new ownership and Managment are on top of their game.

The sauna for spa guests is unique and fabulous in a world class way. Beautiful treatment room. Rare aromatherapy options like cedar and frankincense. Adult pool for Spa guests has magnificent vineyard & mountain views.

Fantastic Stay at Stanly Ranch! Visited with my adult daughter and we enjoyed a dual birthday celebration. The service levels and attention to detail were impeccable. Rooms are great (most single dwellings), and the resort is very dog friendly so was great to have some flexibility with being at a lovely resort with your dog. All of the staff we interacted with were beyond professional, and eager to assist. Both pool areas were very relaxing, and very clean. Loved the spa pool for a little quieter relaxing time, but both pools were great. Walking through the vineyards, and around the property were great. The pre-arrival team also setup special accommodations for us at Donum winery (a must visit especially if you like art/sculpture). Truly a remarkable visit! The Ranch hands were also so accommodating, and eager to take us wherever we needed to go.

From the moment we booked our stay, Angel went above and beyond to ensure every detail was thoughtfully planned. She reached out before our arrival, helped curate the perfect itinerary for our family, and made sure every request was handled with genuine care. Throughout our stay, we felt incredibly welcomed, appreciated, and celebrated.

What always stands out about Stanly Ranch is the level of thoughtfulness. It isn't just great service - it's hospitality that feels personal. Our dog was greeted with the sweetest monogrammed bandana and special treats, while our daughter was also delighted with treats and toys waiting just for her. Those small, unexpected touches created moments we'll remember long after our trip.

Every member of the team made us feel like returning friends rather than hotel guests. There's an authenticity to the service that is rare to find, and it's clear that everyone takes pride in creating unforgettable experiences.

Really incredible and personalized stay. They had set up a crib with a personalized bib, toy, and bath set for our baby. The hospitality was unmatched. Venue is really beautiful, with new, very private accomodations. The food from breakfast to dinner was great. Must see the spa!
