I absolutely loved the whole room in general! The concrete ceiling was cool to look at! The shower was amazing and I got a robe to go along with it that was pretty comfortable! Not the greatest view from my room, but the view from the 6th floor bar was amazing, and even more amazing at night! A little bit of a walk due to being a few blocks from monument circle, but Indy is a much safer town, and it’s always growing, and they continue to clean it up, so it’s worth it!
Having to hold my room key on the sensor for “4 seconds” (more like 10 seconds) to operate the elevator. Also, my room key didn’t work at first, so I stood in the elevator for a long while trying to get it to work, and it was extremely stuffy. But I got a new one and a load of apologies for it. Besides that, the place was a great room!
I stayed here for business and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, especially for the value. The rooms were small, but as nice and comfortable as the Westin nearby for a considerably lower price. The curtains closed fully so the room was nice and dark at night. The bathroom was especially nice and newly renovated. I also appreciated the friendly service and free coffee in the morning.
I stayed for 3 days/2 nights which is important to note as what makes a major difference with Hotel Indy is their associates. Every associate was both personable (with a smile) and helpful. Actually by staying 3 days, several associate called me by name and remembered my habits. I need to call out 3 individuals and thank them for exceptional personal service: 1. Omar checked me into Hotel Indy and provided me with a perfect room (quiet); 2. Lori provided me and my guests VIP service at breakfast (after breakfast we remained at our table, and Lori checked on us frequently, even though breakfast ended); 3. Sandie - very personable young man at the front desk . . . always remembering my name and insuring I was well looked after and my stay was first-class.
Hotel Indy is in a great location of downtown Indy. We walked everywhere, especially all major restaurants are within walking distance. I am also a runner, so each morning I ran down to the White River Walk Canal - - - very scenic.
Rooftop bar was nice place to relax in the evening, also providing a great night-time view of downtown Indianapolis.

My friend and I came in for a game last week it was amazing. Amy was one of the servers at the restaurant in the lobby, she was amazing!!!
1st let me say that if you are taking a rideshare to the property, be sure to confirm you are going to the Tribute hotel. Otherwise you will end up at a shanty hotel property 20 minutes away. Ask me how I know!
The Indy is a lovely property. I really love the aesthetic of the lobby, restaurant and rooms. I appreciated the hot beverage bar in the lobby. My daughter and I stopped for tea and cocoa every day of our stay. I had a lovely breakfast in the restaurant. I recommend the potatoes!
Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. The chairs aren’t really made for lounging, but they look nice. The bathroom was big and the shower was great.
My only complaint is that they did a bait and switch on me. I booked a King room, but when I checked in they asked if I would prefer two beds (since there were two of us). I said yes that would be great. An hour later, after we had unpacked and were literally under the covers and about to nap, they called and told me I would have to pay more for the room type. The difference was about $40 per day more. I explained that I did not request the room change and it was offered to me, and that we were already unpacked and settled. The woman that called me said okay and that my rate would not change. However, my final bill reflected the higher rate.
I’m not a fan of dishonesty or bad business, so I won’t be staying here again. My advice to you is to not accept any unsolicited room changes, unless you are prepared to pay a hefty price.
the hotel was really nice with a jazzy modern feel.
The room I reserved was not the room we got. It was so tiny with a hard kitchen chair. We notify the hotel manager and they moved us to a more comfortable room. However, a day later there was a foul smell in that room, so they moved us to another room, which was by the club on the top floor.
